I've accidentally bought 3 dresses and can only keep one

Help, wise stylish ones. I've got various events coming up (non fancy small weddings, races, a christening). I am at my happiest in jeans but this has turned me into a dress buying fiend. These are the dresses:

The blue and gold one is £££ from LK Bennett and although I like it, I don't know if I like it enough to justify the £££. Also I can'tfind any shoes to match.

I quite like the flowery blue one but I feel a bit self conscious of my upper arms in it.

The cobalt blue one (not me in that picture!) is a reet bargain and I feel very comfortable in it but I worry it's a bit casual, especially for the races. But it could be dressed up with heels like in the pic and maybe a nicer belt and other accessories...right??

I say I can only keep one but I could maybe keep 2, as long as one of them isn't the LKB one.

Advice welcome Smile

Another vote for the first one.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 19/05/2018 10:11

First one looks gorgeous on you.

The flowery one is too tight across the tummy and looks cheap.
The blue is too casual.

Branleuse · 19/05/2018 10:14

I like the first one

Branleuse · 19/05/2018 10:15

i think the second one looks like a good fit and doesnt look bad, but its quite a middle aged design and I imagine it being on a 55 year old from debenhams

SleepIsForTheWeek · 19/05/2018 10:24

I like the first one but not enough to pay £££ for over the second one which I really like too. Agree the last one is too casual.

boomboom12 · 19/05/2018 10:28

I think the first one.

WindDoesNotBreakTheBendyTree · 19/05/2018 10:30

Keep the LBK one it is stunning

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 19/05/2018 10:35

Another vote for dress 1. It fits beautifully and navy shoes would be perfect. The middle one looks slightly too tight (sorry) so I think it will be uncomfortable to wear all day. I'm not keen on dress3 - although I like the colour I think it's difficult to wear unless in small quantities.

lucy101101 · 19/05/2018 10:43

The first one looks considerably more expensive... and most importantly fits and flatters you! I think you could wear this to many events etc. The last one is very casual but if it is super cheap then keep that too so you have another dress - I love the color!

JeanLouiseFinch · 19/05/2018 10:45

Another yes for the first one. It’s a lovely colour and fits you really well.

Oddbutnotodd · 19/05/2018 10:46

The first one is nice but £250 for a viscose dress is a lot. Don’t like the other two.

Whatdoiladymcbeth · 19/05/2018 10:48

First one for me.

nottakenpersonally · 19/05/2018 10:52

Middle one!

rubybleu · 19/05/2018 11:00

I like the first to be honest, your arms look great. Number 2 is nice as well but I’m not mad about the mid section - it just looks all a bit tight.

Thanks for posting though, as I’m off to find a dress for Chelsea flower show today and I absolutely love #1 as it will suit my colouring.

FiveGoShoppingAtAsda · 19/05/2018 11:10

Thanks everyone. I've just tried them on again. The LKB one is definitely going back. It looks better in that photo than IRL -as soon as I move it gathers up around my bum, even with my hold-it-all-in pants on and I know I won't feel comfortable in it. I really want to like it but it's just not right, unfortunately.

I think you're all right about the bright blue one not being smart enough. The dark blue flowery one (which is from phase eight) is honestly not too tight Grin but maybe it's the ruching that makes it look that way. Crap, I'm still none the wiser but appreciate all your comments.

Not a fan of the middle one, I think the first one looks the best in terms of fit and style...it's pricey but it looks it. If you don't love it though then I'd return it. The blue one is a nice colour but as above, it looks quite casual.

Bridechilla · 19/05/2018 11:21

I love no 1!

tangoed2 · 19/05/2018 11:22

Oh I love the gold!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 19/05/2018 11:32

The first one looks so classy and looks as expensive as you say it is. To be honest the other 2 just don't compare.

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 19/05/2018 13:23

I like the first one very much and it really sits nicely on you.

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 19/05/2018 13:24

I agree that the other two aren’t a patch. The first one looks expensive and elegant.

glitterbiscuits · 19/05/2018 13:26

I love the first, like the second, hate the third.

FlorenceLyons · 19/05/2018 15:03

The gold one is beautiful and unusual. Think the middle one is a bit uninspired. Like the third, but probably too casual.

BusterGonad · 19/05/2018 15:10

I like the middle one, and the 3rd one is nice but more suited to drinks out with friends or cocktails in holidays. I think the first one looks a bit dated.

OuchLegoHurts · 19/05/2018 15:11

The middle one... And a little fake tan on your arms would be lovely
