Thread lift with Dr Darren Mckeown

I am considering having this done as I am genuinely horrified by my sagging jowls and how quickly they have developed, I am only 43 but my lower face has absolutely no definition at all. It's in my genes as my mum's face went the same way! It really, really bothers me, I know that sounds vain but it just looks awful.

Has anyone had a thread/one-stitch facelift? Dr DM seems to have a good reputation so I was thinking of having this done with him?

Westtwo.thank you for that link,i was hoping it would show results of mini facelift, if it wasnt so far from me i would consider going for a consultation

Bird2015 · 04/06/2018 00:10

Thank you for your reply..
can i ask where you had your procedure done? And your healing time frame? I am traveling at the end of the month and I'm not sure if I should wait.. I also am working full on so not sure I can rest more than a couple of days.

You will definitely need at least a week for stitches to be removed .but I would say 2 weeks.to avoid complications

Aesthetic nurse here, I'm in agreement. Filler can. Relate a much better, but most importantly safer result than thread lifts.

Filler first for 40s/50s

Then a lower neck and jaw lift with surgery

Hi Bird, not sure if you were talking to me - the clinic is in Worthing. Train station is very close to the clinic.

princesstiasmum · 09/06/2018 22:31

westtwo did you op lift the higher part of your neck at all?
I am not sure if a mini lift or a neck lift will be better,
My lower face isnt too bad, but its the turkey neck which bothers me most, and i dont think i have enough loose skin on my face to make any significant difference;its just a bit jowly, not too bad but then the upper neck, might need both
I will have to have a consultation first before i know for sure i expect

Can recommend The Concept Facelift
Based Tunbridge Wells Kent
Have a google....it really does lift jowls...my sister had it done 3 yrs ago
Cost 9k
But 3 years later - has a great firm jawline - i am super impressed

Under local - downtime >5-7 days - surgery took 2 hours and I collected her to drive her home
She had 2 'thread lifts" 3 and 5 years before the Concept and nothing needed since - she is 60 now so was done at 57 but many women of 40+ have it and it is cited to last 10 years - don't know about that but 3 years on and she looks great

@westtwo I realise this is a 2 yrs old thread so not sure if you are still here...
I am about to arrange a consultation with Mr Coombs to discuss mini facelift (op, local anaesthetic) but before paying his £200 fee I would love to share my concern.
The Laser & Skin clinic (Worthing) where he still works quoted £2,500 for the treatment inc after care, whereas a couple of renowned clinics in London with top rated/experienced plastic surgeons quoted around £8,000. Whilst I’m over the moon to have found something (thanks to you) I can only just afford, this makes me doubt perhaps the treatment Mr Coombs does, called Apex, differs from the usual more expensive one?
I shouldn’t think it does, judging from your described experience, but we’re talking 3 times less than London average price! And Worthing is not that far from London anyway.
Any insights or comments will be greatly appreciate. And thanks again for your invaluable tips!

Has anyone had the infinite thread lift. I hear that River bank Clinic in Harpenden are offering it. It sounds really good - permanent face lift with no surgery

I like the fact that other women appreciate that sometimes it is difficult to accept looking older. I’m 55 and My husband is horrified that I might even consider having a lower facelift, god knows what he thinks about younger women in their 20,s getting procedures done 🤷‍♀️
I find that unfair as he should just appreciate that that would make me happy 😊
I don’t kick up a fuss that he’s happy with his ever expanding beer belly and greying hair and has no intention of making any improvements what so ever. He’s younger than me and he’s already given up on his looks, I wish he would compromise a little.
Is anyone else married/ in a long term relationship and under such disapproval from their partners when it comes to getting surgery? 2 week girls holiday anyone? 🤣🤣
