If you have had one and generally love it but find you have had to use straighteners a bit too LET ME TELL YOU SHIT

Mine broke and stopped whizzing. CBA to wait to activate the receipt ( prob expired anyway) so I got myself a new one. ( 50mm whopper head)

OH MY GOD its so good - I think the bristles had totally gone on my old one. I have fallen back in love and no straightener shit either. I am swishing with huge sleek hair

I hav seen you can by replacement heads - has anyone done that?

I like some of the Hush stuff. Mainly the A/W stuff. Have a brilliant jumper dress from there and their basics are good. Summer dresses are cut like tents though and it's all overpriced.

MargotLovedTom1 · 11/04/2018 23:17

I've ordered a fat BBH to be delivered tomorrow (good old Prime). If it's shite I'll be back on here demanding 40 quid with menaces Grin.

Perplexed101 · 11/04/2018 23:19

I meant to come on here and start a thread about their diamond something straightening brush? Not a whizzy thing but so much better than my old blowdry brush. Now I’m thinking I just should have got w new BBH. Hmm

stitchbitch · 12/04/2018 00:35

Could not live without my BBH, on my forth, I always get someone asking if I've just had my hair done when I use it!

AdelicaArundel · 12/04/2018 09:19

Yeah- what is it with the marketing on here?
Seriously, it is unsubtle.

And the ongoing Hush threads? I've ordered from there once- the item was poorly fitting (fine- different brands suit different fits).
But the fabric was v poor- at a price that should say otherwise.
All their winsome models and nice MN threads won't persuade me to buy again...because they fell down on the basics i.e. fabric and price point should be related.

I commented on a fake tan thread recently....gave my opinion on about 4 different brands.

The thread died immediately.
The threat of a fair review was too much for the marketing team I reckon.
Mind you I was kicking myself for falling for it.

shedragon · 12/04/2018 09:36

God yes, couldn't be without my BBH. Fine, shit flyaway winsomeWink, straight hair. BBH makes it look not bad at all. Shoulder length, 50mm barrell.

YY agree with Hush. Ordered once, never again. Poor quality, saggy sack like clothes.

VladPutin · 12/04/2018 09:39

I am not marketing it. I’m a teacher !

I love my BBH but think it might have also got a bit slow and flat bristles. Has anyone tried the babyliss sheer volume brush to compare?

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/04/2018 09:55

Just ordered a new one on the back of this! I've recently started using mine again as my hair's now long enough again (growing out a pixie cut) and had been disappointed that it wasn't as good as I remembered it being. Hopefully a new one will produce better results.

Llareggub · 12/04/2018 10:10

The OP is definitely not a marketeer. IIRC she has been here since time began.

MargotLovedTom1 · 12/04/2018 10:17

But Alicia, you posted a couple of days ago saying you rate it yourself (the BBH)?

I don't know anything about Hush clothes; never seen, tried or bought anything from there, but this thread is about the Big Hair anyway.

AdelicaArundel · 12/04/2018 10:38

Oh sorry Blush Blush
I was not criticising you at all Vlad. It was more a response to TheXXFactor who mentioned about marketing teams.

I do rate the BBH Margot. I am happy to stand over that.

My comment was more about how Style and Beauty does seem to be a marketing forum at times, and I was castigating myself for having engaged with what I now think was marketing for self-tan.

Sorry OP I sort of hijacked your thread.

VladPutin · 12/04/2018 10:49

Gah. It’s cool you Wally

I love mine, on my 3rd. I last got the professional one which has been great. I have super thick wavy hair which always looked a bit of a mess but the BBH makes it look swishy and bouncy.

SarahSiddons · 12/04/2018 22:06

“I hate mine. This is its last chance before I'm selling it. Only used it twice so maybe not tried hard enough.“

I felt the same. Bought early 2017 and abandoned. Then a colleague recommended it and I found it at the back of the cupboard. Invested some time in YouTube videos and now use it consistently. It’s not as good as a professional blow dry but much superior to what I could do myself.

My hair is shoulder length and frizzy. The BH makes it bouncy and smoother. Not curly.

I do use mine but I don't love it.
Poker straight, lank bob that's a tiny bit more bouncy after using it, but probably not any more than a big brush and hairdryer.

SarahSiddons · 13/04/2018 07:37

“probably not any more than a big brush and hairdryer”

Someone with skill could get my hair looking good with a big brush and dryer but I have tried and I am not that person. The Babyliss Big Hair probably doesn’t give a better result but it makes it easier.
