If you have had one and generally love it but find you have had to use straighteners a bit too LET ME TELL YOU SHIT

Mine broke and stopped whizzing. CBA to wait to activate the receipt ( prob expired anyway) so I got myself a new one. ( 50mm whopper head)

OH MY GOD its so good - I think the bristles had totally gone on my old one. I have fallen back in love and no straightener shit either. I am swishing with huge sleek hair

I hav seen you can by replacement heads - has anyone done that?

I love mine but it does die after a year or so. I've bought mine from Amazon and they've replaced it twice with no hassle at all, obviously no receipt needed either. New one came the next day, sent old one back to Amazon in the new box. Easy peasy.

ajandjjmum · 11/04/2018 11:22

Funnily enough, I'd thought a couple of weeks ago that we hadn't had a thread for a while praising this item.

I hated it - gave mine away, but it obviously works for some people.

It is the only item I see recommended regularly on MN - credit due to their marketing team!

VladPutin · 11/04/2018 11:32

oh i wouldn't use the small one
I am BIG BIG BIG

Ahhh sod it - I'm ordering one.

Is the 50mm the best size for shoulder length hair (fairly fine but lots of it, and prone to frizz)?
It won't give me curls will it? I just want sleek bounce. I don't suit that Kate Cambridge curls-at-the-end look.

zippyswife · 11/04/2018 12:10

I have wild thick hair. I find it takes it really well. Mine does give that blow dried look but seems to curl too much under or flicks up too much... what am I done my wrong?

jemimarose · 11/04/2018 13:21

Just watched the BBH video - looks fab, popping into town this pm and will buy....will let you know how get on, my hair is mid length and usually a frizzy mess!

AlannaOfTrebond · 11/04/2018 13:30

They are repairable when the spinning slows down ( obviously won't help with flat bristles though).

I took mine apart, pulled clumps of hair out of the mechanism, re-assembled and it is working fine again.

AdelicaArundel · 11/04/2018 13:35

ajandjjmum I'm not marketing for anyone and I've been around here since it were all green fields etc.

I was influenced by DMBL40 lady ...about 6years ago, I'd say.

As it works for me (and I am not aa big Style and Beauty buyer) I am happy to stand over it. Otherwise, my headwear looks quite like the link I put in earlier...and that is not an exaggeration.

It doesn't give me Kate Middleton levels of grooming, but certainly adequate for my working life.

MargotLovedTom1 · 11/04/2018 13:42

Anyone able to answer my question re the size, please?

VladPutin · 11/04/2018 14:14

i have hair that is on the top of my shoulder blades. Fine but lots. frizzy in rain.
i woulndt bother with the 45 mm one or whatever it is

OP posts:
VladPutin · 11/04/2018 14:15

the best thing about it is BINNING THE GHDS

OP posts:
VladPutin · 11/04/2018 14:15

it doesnt give me endless bouncy curls but my hair is FULL and bigger and looks done

OP posts:
MargotLovedTom1 · 11/04/2018 18:19

Right, cheers Vlad. I'm on it.

EnidButton · 11/04/2018 18:27

I hate mine. This is its last chance before I'm selling it. Only used it twice so maybe not tried hard enough.

Those of you who live it, what type of hair do you have naturally please? Mine is slightly wavy, thick, pretty smooth, between shoulder and bra strap length. ends prone to dryness. (Although fine atm thanks to olaplex)

So is it my hair type or my technique? I want to love it. It's sat unloved in its box for two years.

VladPutin · 11/04/2018 18:32

Rough dry hair. It’s like virtually dry. Then roll bit of hair. Then hold firm for a few seconds. Then release. Don’t dry from wet fgs

I've got a bob that varies in length between chin and collar bone length. I bought my first BBH about nine years ago and am about to buy my fourth. I use it a couple of times a week and wouldn't be without it. EVER.

ChishandFips33 · 11/04/2018 19:57

Mine stopped spinning and thought it had died so put it away (as you do with dead things!)

Forgot and used it months later and it had only stopped spinning on the first notch...second is still going - I love it!

TheXXFactor · 11/04/2018 20:35

They have got some way to go to beat Hush's marketing team on here Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/04/2018 20:39

Bought one today, having been considering for a while. My hair is a collar length choppy bob but I still bought the big fat one, not the 'petite'. Had a little play earlier, on hair that I'd dried about three quarters dry with the hairdryer. First results v pleasing - I don't look 'groomed' (am a scruffy bugger) but I do have a bit of swish.

EnidButton · 11/04/2018 22:43

Ok I'll give it one last try at the weekend.

VladPutin · 11/04/2018 23:00

Hush really is a pile of shit

OP posts:
VladPutin · 11/04/2018 23:01

Dry it more Remus. Head upside down

Hush really is a pile of shit

I've got a couple of their jackets that I wear lots, but I think their marketing team must think MNetters are stupid - which rankles a little. At least try to infiltrate us with a bit of subtlety Smile

VladPutin · 11/04/2018 23:06

Such bad quality. See it in John Lewis anc think m8!

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/04/2018 23:08

I like their ruched skirts and bloody love my camo jacket, but never very impressed by the other stuff.

Will try it again tomorrow after upside down head move.
