If you have a teenage son 13-15 what do they wear?

DS1's birthday is coming up and he has asked for some trendier clothes. He doesn't want to go shopping, he wants a surprise Hmm

I'm struggling since he's yet to really develop his own style. I only see the children at school when they're in uniform or sports kit.

Google is bringing up boys in skinny jeans, vans, blazers with hoodies underneath and slouchy beanie hats. Is that right for this age group or has that trend passed?

Op can you find out what looks and colours your son prefers by showing him some pictures on, maybe Pinterest or Hollister, Superdry websites etc? Then order one of each item shortly before his birthday in case of returns. Once you have a idea of what he likes you can then buy more. Saying that my 13/12 year old Ds’s live in their favourite clothes all the time. Younger Ds has only 3 tshirts he wears and two trackers and hoodies. They grow out if clothes so quickly it’s really not worth buying more. I’ve thrown out so many clothes they won’t wear any more, so I now let them choose online. Hollister always seems to have sales on and Tk Maxx always has Hype and loads of other in-brands online.

I have just been informed by my 15 year old that he needs new trackie bottoms and joggers, and to never buy him chinos. And he also needs new caps for summer. And apparently sports socks, Adidas or Nike.

If your school produces a newsletter or has a facebook or twitter page, you might be able to see photos from school trips to get an idea.

Non uniform days are a good way to see what the other kids are wearing. But I just generally go with what my dc ask for.

My 15yo lives in skinny jeans (tesco, although we just got him a couple of pairs from Sports Direct), t-shirts (again tesco, although his dad buys him Saltrock), and hoodies (various but his girlfriend got him a Superdry one for his birthday).

But he isn't trendy, stylish or at all interested in what he is wearing.
I tried to get him to show some interest recently and offered to buy him some stuff, he just said "get me the same as I wear".
We found a casual shoe that he likes 3 years ago and I think he is on his 4th pair now and when I suggested he might like an alternative he said "what for?".

At least he is cheap!

DS (13) wears jeans from Boohoo (men’s section, skinny or super skinny fit), hoodies (Superdry or related to his swimming achievements), t-shirts- The North Face, Superdry, Primark (when he has needed bulk buying after a growth spurt).
Shoes- vans or similar.

My DS(14) wears skinny jeans usually from ASOS or H&M ( xs in men’s section) hoodies from Jack Wills or Hollister or Superdry . Converse or Lacoste. That’s the uniform around here anyway ! I find ASOS good as delivery is quick and returns easy, when I need to actually get him into a shop TopMan or H&M is usually where we go.

13 yo DS is obsessed with fashion/being cool!!

Adidas trainers, skinny jeans, and silly little sports sock things that look like he's not wearing socks at all!

Also Sonneti T shirts from JD Sports.

This type of thing seems to be popular!
