Talk me into or out of Palamairas

So I've been eyeing up a pair of these bad boys for a while but have been put off by we people saying they don't stay on their feet. I've seen some of their styles now have an ankle strap which I don't usually like to wear as it can make legs look shorter. So what do you reckon to Palmairas?

I always buy direct and they sometimes have shoes in the outlet which are flawed or they aren't making any more. So I got my black ones from the outlet for a little less but not much.
I got a 36 in all of them except leopard which are a 35. The 36 fit lovely but by the end of summer they will have stretched and some will need to be replaced.
I've had to give away 3 pairs to my sister the other day who's a size 37

I like them. If worn with the strap in front, they are more like Andulusian shoes.

I think hers are definitely a lot more comfortable. My problem is partly that they come in at the toe and my foot, being shaped like a block, does not. Would be great if I could find some half sizes...

My instep is too high for palmairas :( Theyre also useless for the fat of foot.

Have to laugh at the price of them though- you can pick up these sandals for 10 Euro in the Spanish markets.

I saw these in Dubai a few years ago and wanted them but they were really expensive there and I couldn't justify it.

They don't have my size in the silver glitter tarock. I went straight off to order them when I saw that discount code 😥

User1955- the wedges are fine for plantar fasciitis, the flats, definitely not.

Mine are Avarcas: one pair from Menorca and two from TK Maxx. I sized down as suggested by the Menorcan shoe seller and the strap stretched enough to be just perfect so they don’t slip off.

And they are so comfy and easy to walk in and I’m 31 weeks pregnant so nothing has been easy to walk in as I waddle with SPD. I’ve worn them for two days and they are soft and no rubbing anywhere on my feet. Made of leather. I’m going abroad on Friday and wish I could squeeze another order in. Cheap as well!

Inspired by this thread, I just bought my first Palmeiras (red). They are 30% of on the Seasalt website. And free shipping if you spend £50, so I bought 2 sizes and will return the one that fits less well.

I have 2 pairs and love mine. Want more! They stretch for my wide feet but the strap doesn't come off.

Is it advisable to get them a size smaller so they then stretch to the correct size? Or do they not stretch that much?

I e been talking myself in / out of them for a while. I've just talked myself in!
