I'm lazy when it comes to personal care but my skin is now starting to object to my negligence. I'm looking for a good face moisturiser for combination skin. I don't have the money to test a lot of options so please share your favourites for me to try.

Thanks.

I like the aldi one in a pot. No idea of the name! Its about £4 Grin

healthyheart · 04/03/2018 21:11

Mistral

NotMeNoNo · 04/03/2018 21:16

Aldi, Lacura expert cream, red and silver packaging. If you buy both the day and night creams they are slightly different.

lovelyjubilly · 04/03/2018 21:17

Yes. Lacura.

mynameisLuca · 04/03/2018 21:19

old style Nivea in the blue tub. There is a reason its still sold after 118 years...it's brilliant! I have tried so many expensive creams and this 5€ jar is better than any of them.

Shylo · 04/03/2018 21:19

I like Olay or the L’Oreal renew or regenerist creams and if you have an Asda near you they often have them at massively reduced prices. Well worth the £4 a tub

mathanxiety · 04/03/2018 21:19

I like the Aldi creams too.

iveburntthetoast · 04/03/2018 21:23

I like simple stuff

iveburntthetoast · 04/03/2018 21:24

Blush I meant the Simple range of moisturisers etc

mikado1 · 04/03/2018 21:24

I found the nivea lovely for the dry parts of my skin but caused congestion on chin so watch out if you're combination too.

FrabjousDay · 04/03/2018 21:24

Nivea in the blue pot is meant to be as good as Creme de le Mer. Certainly works well for me.

dantdmistedious · 04/03/2018 21:26

Waitrose Pure - I have the day and night versions, they're about £3 I think. Once a week I cover my face in Nivea blue before I go to sleep.

allthegoodnameshadgone · 04/03/2018 21:35

I have creme de la mer. It's Nivea n a blue pot. I swear it is.

omBreROSE · 04/03/2018 21:36

I really like lavera Q10 - for day or night. They make an all round dream that is very similar to Nivea , but all ingredients are natural. If that is your thing?
The Q10 about 12
The all round about 6

travailtotravel · 04/03/2018 21:53

Steam cream in a tin is about a tenner on Amazon. It's so light and really natural calm ingredients.

GrouchyKiwi · 04/03/2018 21:54

Thank you. I don't have an Aldi near (I think...) so I'll try the Nivea first.

Creme de la mer is very greasy. I like Ren products.

BobLoblawLawBlog · 05/03/2018 07:11

Superdrug Pure range is fab and verycheap. I particularly like the hydrating Serum. They also do a range called Naturally Radiant which is excellent. I've never got on with Nivea blue pot- it always leaves me feeling greasy and shiny.

Freddiesgirl · 05/03/2018 07:20

I have the Waitrose baby bottom butter- it's 100% olive oil and despite the months and months of sleep deprivation due to DD my skin is super soft!

eloisesparkle · 05/03/2018 07:24

Nivea Soft did well on a tv programme review lately.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 05/03/2018 07:35

Cerave night cream, says it's for the night but it's very light and not greasy. the ingredients list is impressive too. Downside is that it's hard to get hold of, normally about ten quid for a 60 ml pump action bottle but currently silly prices on Amazon. Hopefully they are bringing the range to Boots soon. Another decent cheap moisturiser is the range from Amie great price for a decent product. the Ordinary do a basic moisturiser too, worth a look.

RubberJohnny · 05/03/2018 07:40

Nivea Creme is half price in boots at the mo.

ChishandFips33 · 05/03/2018 07:52

Nivea soft if blue pot is too rich

quackingduck222 · 05/03/2018 07:58

Another vote for Nivea blue. I’ve recently tried Nivea soft too and that’s really nice and not as thick. It makes a lovely base under foundation as I have very dry skin when I’m not moisturising often enough.
