And tell me how much you love them!

Here’s mine-very plain and boring really, but still love them to bits!

This is mine. It looks like an emerald cut but it's actually a Phoenix Cut. I'm a bit in love with it and have been since he gave it to me 8 years ago.

Hands have aged a bit since it was new though

Iris That's stunning!

I don't wear mine as it's yellow gold and looks out of place with my silver/ white gold jewellery. It's a sapphire with a diamond at either side on a slight diagonal. I love it though, as we had little money and DH saved for it.

IrisApfelRocks · 01/03/2018 10:29

Thank you 😊 My ring is from Variance Objects. An American jeweller. Very reasonably priced, not at all expensive. They are amazing and the service is very good. Our wedding bands are from them too. Mine is similar style to the ring but with baguette cut raw aquamarines embedded into the band. But we left it too late to order them, as we found out we were expecting and pushed the wedding forward so they weren't here on our wedding day. We ve ordered the stack rings from Bloody Mary Metal in rose gold and the plan was to swap them for an actual band when it comes. We engraved the stacks with hurricane on mine and still Day on his, which is the ending of a Clementine Von Radics poem. But I just can't bring myself to swap them now as that's not the ring I married him with.

The last verse of the poem

I know sometimes
it’s still hard to let me see you
in all your cracked perfection,
but please know:
whether it’s the days you burn
more brilliant than the sun
or the nights you collapse into my lap
your body broken into a thousand questions,
you are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
I will love you when you are a still day.
I will love you when you are a hurricane

Anyway so that's the story behind my rings. Apologises for a long post. And I love all the rings here. Every one is beautiful ❤️

Here's mine. Platinum and 3 stones with plain band.
I'm cold right now, but my hands seem to have aged over night Confused

I love all of your rings.

Here is mine, 4 princess cut diamonds with brilliant cut ones on the shoulders. Absolutely adore it (more than husband to be?) Grin

He is an awesome man really, love him to bits and I'm very lucky

Edwardian Emerald and Diamond ring. I chose it. Bought almost 2 and half years after our wedding because I couldn't find the right shade of Emerald I liked!

So many lovely rings and so many manicured nails, too! But is anyone else thinking, aren't hands weird things?!

Witchofthenorth · 01/03/2018 12:16

With you on the hands!!! Don't know what's up with my camera but my hands don't look like that in real life Shockplus the nails are false, I feel naked with out nice nails....can't be arsed with the rest of me though just the nails 😂

LibertyBlue · 01/03/2018 12:32

Aquamarine (very light blue) with diamonds in an Edwardian/ Tiffany style WG setting. Wedding band is palladium. Married a few years now and still love them. Diamonds so sparkly and pretty.

Yes my hands look rubbish in photos- swear they look better in real life!

Really like lots of the rings on here.

PoodleDoodleCaboodle · 01/03/2018 12:32

@MyBrilliantDisguise- no manicured nails here! I had to take up a close up of the ring so you couldn't see my hairy fingers (salon visit booked in for tomorrow).

LibertyBlue · 01/03/2018 12:37

Really love engagement rings belonging to Mrs X, Chester, Witch and lovemynewflowers... these are just not the styles I would choose (ie similar in style to mine!). Interesting to see them all as I don’t see anyone with a ring like mine IRL. Everyone I know has solitaires (which are just as lovely btw, I just don’t do simple!)

LibertyBlue · 01/03/2018 12:38

^ errr meant, these are just the styles I WOULD choose. Gorgeous

NeverTwerkNaked · 01/03/2018 12:42

iris yours is just so beautiful!!!

Juancornetto · 01/03/2018 14:06

Poodle that emerald is stunning! They're my favourite stones, my ER's an emerald but a lot smaller than yours 😁

Appuskidu · 01/03/2018 14:50

Liberty-that isn’t just beautiful, I love aquamarine. It fits well with your wedding ring, too-I sort of thought if you didn’t have a solitaire, you needed a shaped wedding ring!

Is your engagement ring palladium too?

Appuskidu · 01/03/2018 15:03

Doh, obviously I meant it ‘is’ just beautiful!!

LibertyBlue · 01/03/2018 15:08

Thanks Appuskidu we bought both together in Hatton Garden so could test that they fit together. I guess that’s an advantage of not buying an engagement ring first. We chose the stone and it was fitted into a setting we selected. I still love it.

The ring is white gold because DH couldn’t afford platinum and that many diamonds! But I like that it’s slightly warmer now it’s ever so slightly yellowed. You can’t see it’s not a perfect match with the palladium ring beneath, due to the diamonds around the band.

When we had a quote for the same spec from our local fancy jeweller it was more than 3 times the price Shock Hatton garden is the place to go for rings (and haggle!). The ER has been independently valued for a higher value than purchase price.

LibertyBlue · 01/03/2018 15:14

One thing I have noticed is that we’re all wearing our engagement rings in different positions! Have I got the convention ‘wrong’?!

NeverHadANickname · 01/03/2018 15:20

Not one I would have chosen myself because I usually go for simple things but I LOVE it 😊

MrsXx4 · 01/03/2018 16:05

@Liberty I wear my rings the same way that you do. Wedding band first then ER. I did this because I never wanted to take my wedding band off but I always take my ER off for things like washing up, housework etc and that way it was easier. However, as it happens, I always take my wedding ring off when at home as it just bugs me to have jewellery on and I cant sleep wearing any jewellery either.

Annabelle4 · 01/03/2018 16:12

I wear my engagement ring first because I (obviously) had that one first. It feels right to put the wedding ring on after it.

Beautiful rings on this thread

Schmoochypoos · 01/03/2018 16:15

Here’s mine 1.7ct solitaire. Totally love it! DH chose it all by himself too

Yellow gold with an opal stone. Designed by DP and exactly what I would have chosen myself.

@JaceLancs my friend got almost the exact same ring for her diamond wedding anniversary. To me, that cluster shape will always be synonymous with a wonderful & happy marriage.x
