Deep wrinkles at aged 32- help!

I have very blue eyes which means I’m always squinting, so now I have really bad ‘11’ lives between my eyes which I’m really self conscious of. I’m attached a pic, it looks like I’m frowning but I’m not, that’s just how they are all the time! What can I do? I feel they’re quite deep wrinkles for only 32. I don’t smoke. I can’t afford Botox! Help!

I'm far from being an expert on this, but vitamin serums might help? Moogoo makes very good quality ones for the price (the vitamin C serum and the 3 vitamins serum in particular). They have a UK website too.

Otherwise, people tend to recommend retinol for wrinkles but read up on it, there are lots of caveats and I have no personal experience with it.

gussyfinknottle · 06/02/2018 11:13

Those aren't deep wrinkles but if you think they are that's ok.

Strongbeatsskinny · 06/02/2018 12:21

Definitely not deep and in the photo it looks like you are frowning so we can see them.

bettydraper31 · 06/02/2018 13:29

That’s the problem, I’m not frowning at all, that’s how they are all the time!

Op, I really think you are seeking a drastic solution to a problem that is not there. Lines on the face go with getting older. You might want to reflect on how you will cope.
In the meantime, drink plenty of water and stay out of the sun . If you feel you need to have chemical or surgical help then take it. I imagine you get what you pay for.

Fosterdog123 · 06/02/2018 14:46

I'm trying to think of a way to put this delicately but I can't .......so, yes, I do think they're pretty noticeable, especially for your age. Sorry 😳 The bad news is that nothing works other than Botox. Botox would sort it out no problem. You could try Frownies instead but really, nothing else works and especially not any creams/lotions/potions.

I have the same problem OP. I have a permanent line there which looks like I'm constantly grumpy and frowning, when I'm not.

I'm considering botox.

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 06/02/2018 15:54

Have you tried facial massage? Like mine, it's the muscle that's overactive but the frown lines go away temporarily when I do some massage with oils. I gather if I did it every day, it'd be less noticeable.

SheepySheepy · 06/02/2018 15:54

Another one considering Botox...

Worieddd · 06/02/2018 15:55

Wow some nasty fuckers on this thread!

Yes your best option would be Botox but you could start using retinol if you don’t already, spf and a heavy moisturiser

Fosterdog123 · 06/02/2018 16:21

Worried - nasty fuckers? Really????? And stop giving the op false hope - spf and moisturiser will do absolutely NOTHING to shift these kind of lines.

CandyYumYum · 06/02/2018 16:25

'On a positive note, at least the brows detract from them! Yikes!'

^^

Yep. That's definitely veering into 'nasty fucker' territory I'd say.

Fosterdog123 · 06/02/2018 16:29

Well, yes, ok, not the kindest of comments, I grant you.

Paintbox · 06/02/2018 16:30

Agree, some mean comments. I have the same lines op and I’m afraid that nothing will help apart from Botox as it a muscle thing. If it’s from squinting then your muscles have pulled the skin and no creams will sort that out. I’m embracing my lines though, it’s part of getting older and I reckon if I can’t take the 11’s, I’m going to be very upset when everything else starts to slide!

Wtfdoicare · 06/02/2018 16:31

Agree with nasty comments on this thread, OP take no notice. For your lines, I would initially upgrade your skincare routine to use some of the Ordinary products, including their HA serum and retinol. A good sunscreen during the day. A few months down the line if there is no change perhaps look into Botox. Botox will improve them for sure and will prevent them getting any worse as well.

CandyYumYum · 06/02/2018 16:32

OP what you should do first off is have your eyes tested to see if you need specs. That will reduce the squinting and prevent a deepening of the lines.

happy2bhomely · 06/02/2018 16:45

They are quite deep OP but they are also completely normal.

I think I would focus on drawing attention to your positive features rather than trying to remove the 'negative'. I'm 35 this year and my skin is honestly better than it was 5 years ago thanks to a good routine with glycolic acid and SPF.

Also, I mean it kindly, but your brows are doing you no favours. They are very heavy. What colour is your natural hair?

BusterGonad · 06/02/2018 17:43

I didn't know that having pale blue eyes equals squinting!
I'm sorry to agree but maybe lighter eyebrows could soften your look a little, therefore making the lines less noticeable!

bettydraper31 · 06/02/2018 17:53

Thank you everyone for your comments.

Bossbaby12 · 06/02/2018 17:55

What are some of these comments?!! Absolutely awful. She hasn't asked for advice on her eyebrows so why are some of you offering it?

Sorry OP no advice, I'm in a similar boat but I've heard good things about The Ordinary products!

bettydraper31 · 06/02/2018 17:58

My hair is mousey brown, I have attached another pic. I didn’t realise my eyebrows were so offensive. That’s two things on my face now, jeez!

I hope people who make nasty comments about people’s personal appearance when all they are asking for are some pointers are perfect themselves.

They are really not that bad but I can empathise with you as I also have very pale eyes and 11s. Facial muscles are muscles like any others so you could try massage. I watched a YouTube video and it actually seemed quite effective.
