Deep wrinkles at aged 32- help!

I have very blue eyes which means I’m always squinting, so now I have really bad ‘11’ lives between my eyes which I’m really self conscious of. I’m attached a pic, it looks like I’m frowning but I’m not, that’s just how they are all the time! What can I do? I feel they’re quite deep wrinkles for only 32. I don’t smoke. I can’t afford Botox! Help!

Take no notice of people like that. I would try BOTOX. My sister had amazing results!

BusterGonad · 06/02/2018 18:02

I take it back, your eyebrows look just lovely in the context of the rest of you, I'm very sorry Op!

juneau · 06/02/2018 18:02

I don't think your frown lines are massively deep, but it's your face and if they bother you then I suggest you go and see a cosmetic dermatologist and have a chat. No one is going to force you to have Botox if you don't want to. There are other options, but they won't be as effective as Botox for a) getting rid of those lines and b) preventing them from getting deeper as time passes. Because Botox paralyses the underlying muscles it's extremely effective for what you want. But don't take it from us - go and chat to someone for whom addressing these issues is their job and see what options are available to you and which might be acceptable.

I'm so dense I actually thought the brow comment was a compliment!
But then I love your brows.

Teetotal2018 · 06/02/2018 18:09

I would say your skin looks a little dry. Have you considered facial oils and perhaps not wearing makeup - as this can really dry out skin. I use sweet almond oil from Holland and Barrett all over my body and face. and the Kiehls midnight recovery oil and thier moisturisers are also excellent. Also drink loads of water and eat your veg 😁

Fosterdog123 · 06/02/2018 18:14

That second picture presents a completely different view. Not that I made any comment on your brows but they look great there.

Ofthread · 06/02/2018 18:15

Drink lots of water. Order some stuff from The Ordinary. Wear sunglasses in sunlight, v. important to help stop you scrunching your eyes up. You are grand!

Teetotal2018 · 06/02/2018 18:18

Ofthread I’ve just ordered the fountain supplement from the ordinary - it’s supposed to be excellent for skin, have you tried it? X

Teetotal2018 · 06/02/2018 18:18

I ordered the phyto collagen molecule one - it’s has great reviews x

BifsWif · 06/02/2018 18:22

I had botox for the same reason. Nothing else is going to make much difference really, I put it off for ages but I wish I’d have done it sooner.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 06/02/2018 18:25

Your brows look lovely OP not that you were asking opinions on them! As for the lines I can see what you mean in the first picture but I cannot see them at all in the second! If it really bothers you rather than spend money on creams which will do nothing save the cash and put it towards Botox, where I am from the clinics charge about £150 for the 11’s obviously it’s an ongoing cost but if you are fortunate and the Botox lasts 3 to 4 months it might be worth considering.

Dancetothebeat32 · 06/02/2018 18:27

I like your eyebrows and your wrinkles aren't that bad

Mrsjellybum · 06/02/2018 18:30

I read this thing that if u put any dip cream on your wrinkles they disappear.

Never tried it myself. 😂😂

Mrsjellybum · 06/02/2018 18:30

Sorry anusol cream not dip cream

SweetChickadee · 06/02/2018 18:31

But you have no wrinkles in the second photo Grin

Chanelprincess · 06/02/2018 18:31

Agree with all the other comments...definitely worth trying to save up for botox if you can - it's the only thing that will really make a difference, and it will also get you out of the habit of frowning.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 06/02/2018 18:33

Hi Op
Take no notice of the mean comments. Shame on them, I thought S and B was a friendly place, seems nowhere is safe on MN anymore.
Anyway...frown lines won't change with serum or moisturizer. Botox will stop them. Save up and get them done. I have Botox once a year, it does the trick.

martellandginger · 06/02/2018 18:35

What’s wrong with the brows. They look good.

BeyondThePage · 06/02/2018 18:36

Wear big sunglasses - you'll be doing your eyes a favour long term, and much less squinting - botox on a budget.

Ofthread · 06/02/2018 18:38

I've only tried so far: hyaluronic acid (didn't like it at first but I was putting too much on), matrixyl (ditto + I don't think you need both of these at the same time), lactic acid 10%, (5 stars!) & serum foundation (love it).

Teetotal2018 · 06/02/2018 18:38

Ps you look fab! Ignore the nasties 😊

bettydraper31 · 06/02/2018 18:47

Thank you everyone, feeling much better now! Thanks for all your kind comments.

Thank you for all your suggestions, I’m going to look them all up online now while massaging my forehead at the same time lol.

I do squint a lot from the sun but it doesn’t have to be bright unfortunately, it’s a mix of habit and the sun I think.

I personally find the thick cream and oils really soften my lines, I would also ditch face washes in favor of cream cleansers that you wipe off with slightly damp Cotten pads.

BelleandBeast · 06/02/2018 18:58

OP, they aren't that deep and you have lovely brows, which is what I noticed first!

I suggest:
this for dynamic wrinkles, which frown lines are I have noticed some improvement in mine, stick with it. Try some retinol from the same line.
I'd also suggest the hyaluronic acid in a serum or daycream.

I use frownies at night, and in the day when I've time , smoothing the lines with the heel of my hand horizontally.

All this, done together, does work.

Drink plenty of water too.

You must use SPF and you must wear sunglasses, even in winter!

I'm not vain, I don't mind ageing but I do mind looking frowny when I'm not!

BelleandBeast · 06/02/2018 18:58

Oh and you can do facial exercise too, check them out on you tube.
