Best facial sunscreen for every day.

Can anyone suggest a really good facial sunscreen for every day? I want something that will look invisible on, and feel very light under my make up.

My Chanel foundation is SPF but not sure how effective that really is? And if I'm starting to use retinol I want a proper sunscreen with UVB and UVA coverage.

Love, (if you're talking to me; not sure as I didn't mention 1/4 teaspoon?), I only need a tiny amount of the Dermalogica Age Perfect Primer to cover my face – a pea size, I'd say. I generally use it on its own as I don't tend to use foundation or anything. I wouldn't use it for sunbathing though, just for everyday SPF protection.

I buy it on eBay for less than RRP.

Yes, it was to you. Just to clarify, the 1/4 teaspoon came from me. I got that from various places around the internet saying that the SPF on the packaging is achieved by putting on an amount the size of a 1/4 teaspoon on the face. Which is a hell of a lot.

Ah, I see. Yes, it does sound a lot. I know you're supposed to be generous with sunscreen, but I don't think of SPF primer as 'proper' sunscreen but as an everyday thing.

The Dermalogica one goes a very long way.

Any recommendations for a mineral spf that isn’t tinted or excessively drying? I have a Jan Marini one that is not drying but I dislike the tiny; it’s too dark for me. Sunsense has parabens, which seem to be a problem for my rosacea.

Just a general thought: Sali Hughes is very good for this sort of stuff and has written a lot about sunscreens. She's in the Guardian and I think has a blog/site/something of her own too.
