If it is the dandelion one you mean, then yes it is lovely. Makes your skin all glowy (ina good way)

laughingduck · 19/04/2007 18:02

I love my dandelion powder. Would def recommend.

interstellar · 19/04/2007 18:02

I think the dandelion powder is great and suitable for all skin tones.

InTheseShoes · 19/04/2007 18:14

I like it lots, and can also recommend a little kit called "The Realness of Concealness" which has some fab products in for concealing undereye shadows, plumping lips, evening out skin tone etc. £22.50

Tinker · 19/04/2007 18:55

Can someone talk me through Benefit stuff? What do you use where? Can never tell from teh names of teh products.

AnnabelCaramel · 19/04/2007 18:57

Benefit is very good. I would also recommend Realness of Concealness, and Dandelion powder always gets good write-ups as it does seem to suit every skin tone.

Go to a Benefit concession in a big store and ask the staff; they are always really helpful and very down-to-earth friendly.

Tinker · 20/04/2007 14:43

Thank you. Sacred of Make-Up Ladies though.

Tinker · 20/04/2007 14:44

Scared - oops

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 20/04/2007 16:39

Dandelion powder is very good.

I have some yellow stuff in a pot that I put on before foundation, Dr Feelgood, thats very good as well.

MrsBadger · 20/04/2007 16:44

Dandelion good only if you are pinky already.
I am yellower and look like a rag doll in it - much better in Georgia or Hoola or the Cowgirl one.

Go to the Benefit counter in a Debehmans when they ahve late nigth opeining as the makeup girls go home at 5 and you can play with the testers without them

brimfull · 20/04/2007 16:48

I got accosted by benefit lady in boots a while ago.She wanted to demonstrate a new product on me.Great I think, then when she descibed it as polyfilla for the face I felt like punching her.Twas quiet good actually, but can't remeber the name of it.
I did buy a blusher/lipstick thing which is lovely.

Dinosaur · 20/04/2007 16:49

LOL ggirl!

fishie · 20/04/2007 16:52

i've got the georgia one it it is really n ice but i put on too much by mistake the other day and was patchily orange all day. i am not sure how you choose between the three.

Tinker · 20/04/2007 18:37

I'm already lost on this thread [sigh]

AnnabelCaramel · 20/04/2007 18:41

Benefit girls aren't like other make up ladies. The one I went to didn't even wear any make up (???!) - apparently they have very different training to the more 'standard' houses, according to my caked-in-slap friend who works for another one.
I first got some when my lo was three months old. Was one of the first times I'd been out, I felt and looked like shit and she transformed me. Convert ever since. Be brave and try it...and see if you can get me some discount

Tinker · 20/04/2007 18:47

Someone's just said benefit boing on another thread. How can I go in and ask for these things??? I may cruise round when they've gone one day.

DJCod · 04/04/2008 18:31

cardy · 04/04/2008 18:35

What is it and what does it do? What are Georgia or Hoola and Cowgirl too?

TsarChasm · 04/04/2008 18:38

Yes I need talking through the Benefit products too. They all look so pretty and sound so lovely but I have no clue what some of it does.

DarthVader · 05/04/2008 20:33

you should get a try out at a Benefit counter, they do excellent demos, not really worth getting the products without the demo imo

Go and get a demo - ime they are v nice and not scary like other make up ladies.

I went to get advice for wedding make up a couple of years back and came out with georgia powder (glowy, peach, nice warm tone), Moonbeam (highlighter like hi beam but more subtle) and bad gal mascara. Oh and an eye pencil in a great navy/purple shade.

Love them all. Still using the moonbeam - lasts for ages.

janeite · 05/04/2008 20:39

I had a freebie makeover at Benefit once and she made me look lovely (or as lovely as possible anyway with this face!). She used Benetint on my cheeks, with a bit of Dandelion on (if I remember rightly) my temples, some undereye stuff that felt all cold and lovely, and something brown on my eyes. Very little makeup but it really "lifted" my face and made me look as if I'd just had an hour of relaxing in the sunshine.

The products themselves scare me a bit though and seem very expensive, so I've never bought anything. Am watching this thread with interest though.

southeastastra · 05/04/2008 20:41

i've got the realness one, the boing is a bit too dark for my skin tone but the other products are fun. though don't really know what to do with the high beam
