I've found a curly hair hairdresser!

I have come away with a head full of bouncy, springy curls. No triangle head. She cuts dry. Not a comb, brush or straighteners to be seen in her kit (she doesn't own them any more).

She just specialises in curly hair. London based (sorry). Not cheap. As she said as I left, I will not need a cut for another 6 months so as a yearly cost it probably works out the same for more frequent cuts at a high end salon. Totally worth it. About a 3 month waiting list for an appointment.

Details here and she also has a facebook page: www.lindseyhughescurlwhisperer.co.uk/

Will pop up a before (which was't awful, awful but a bit shapeless and meh) and an after photo in a sec.

I've been to Lindsey several times she is fab. I've got a chronic illness though and can't travel to London at the moment so am risking someone local who assures me she so cut curls but I'm very nervous!

So pleased for you all finding happy curly endings. I have fine hair with a wave and Looking for a great hairdresser. So my plea is the same as @DharmaLovesDrarry - is there a curly hairdresser in Dorset or Hampshire that anyone can recommend?

Your hair looks gorgeous OP! My hair type and texture looks similar to yours and I'm really tempted to head to London for a decent curly cut with someone who I don't have to coach through each appointment!

Manchester is nearer though so may try The Hepburn Project. My last cut at a new salon was done dry, but she brushed it out and just lopped off the bottom resulting in a weird triangle effect that's quite frankly awful. Am mostly wearing it up to avoid looking like Crystal Tips.

Just a quick update - I went back for a second haircut today. Photo attached but it really doesn't do it justice - in so many ways it is the real-life movement and bounce that make it.

Amusingly, my hair is several inches longer than the first time - but because I have regained some amazing ringlets it doesn't look it Grin.
