Its my one year wedding anniversary on saturday and we are off to the place we got married for a lovely meal.

So i bought this black wrap dress the pics are before and after type thing. One is with no control wear you can see my hips lots so i threw some spanx on tried it on again feel alot better in it but i didnt have a bra on it in that pic. Am off to buy a plunge bra to wear with it tomorrow.

Anyway I was going to do black shoes and bag but i feel a bit drab in all black help me dress it up a bit.

Peep toe difficult if it rains. Go for jazzed up black or, if you are ok with the weather, satin shoes are fantastic. DD has a gold/chartreuse coloured pair from Zara. They look very expensive. Shoes with ankle straps must be worn by people with very slim ankles and calves. No-one else please! Quality high pumps are so much more flattering.

Bracelets would look good and wear what underwear you feel make you look good. I think dangly earrings also work with a plunge neckline.

You look absolutely lovely. Smile

MarriedAroundChristmas · 10/11/2017 19:45

@MrsMotherHen You look lovely, your dress is really nice. I think you look nicer without the Spanx - the dress is so flattering and such a nice shape. A bargain at £6!

SallyLockhartsDog · 10/11/2017 19:50

You look fab Smile have a lovely night!

taybert · 10/11/2017 19:54

I’m glad I’m not the only one admiring your tiles!

You look great, not funeralish, perfect for a lovely meal out.

NachoAddict · 10/11/2017 19:59

You look great in that dress. I am so jealous of your bargain.

Hushabyelullaby · 10/11/2017 20:00

you look really nice. I agree with the no Spanx comment, the dress makes you look curvier and gives you a womanly figure. It's nice with Spanx too, jmo that it looks better without. Hope you have a lovely night, and happy 1st anniversary for tomorrow.

ShiftyMcGifty · 10/11/2017 20:01

Sorry, I think it's a bit somber. Red lipstick, paint your toes red? I'd have gone with a colourful bracelet and a huge pop of colour with the bag. Do you like blue?

MrsMotherHen · 10/11/2017 20:03

Thankyou all! Heres a pic for the tile lovers.....they need a good steam mop though....even after a mop they look dull they need some linseed oil on them to restore them back but havent got around to it yet. boring pain in the arse job last on the list weve only been here 6 months. Blush

I am doing my nails dark red with darkish red lips.

Nancy91 · 10/11/2017 20:09

I would add a bit of colour, maybe a red bag and a matching bracelet or necklace? Something red in your hair to match your nails?

It's a little bit funeral-ish but wear whatever you feel nice in.

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 10/11/2017 20:20

Funeral-ish is my favourite look.

Oblomov17 · 10/11/2017 20:22

Latest photo is my fave. With the black bracelet. You look fab.

Ttbb · 10/11/2017 20:24

Looks nice to me. If you don't want to go all black then why not opt for burgundy suede shoes and a bag to match. Dark green also works well with black. Just don't be tempted to go for bright accessories. That only works with white dresses.

Mulberrysilk · 10/11/2017 20:26

Great dress. Do you have any leopard skin shoes or a bag? or failing that, a splash of red?

Sammysquiz · 10/11/2017 20:29

You look lovely. Don’t wear Spanx - you look great without them, and they’ll be uncomfortable.

Have fun!

WhiskeySourpuss · 10/11/2017 20:31

I have a very similar dress & I wear it with a variety of heels... leopard, burgundy, bright red, black & white etc for work or if wearing out black heels with a statement clutch

Flisspaps · 10/11/2017 20:31

You have an amazing figure and the dress is gorgeous :D

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 10/11/2017 20:33

I agree re. avoiding bright accessories. I find something very jarring about black clothes with red accessories.

CocoaXx · 10/11/2017 20:35

Another one saying you don’t need the Spanx, you look better without them. Have a lovely evening, the outfit looks great!

mogloveseggs · 10/11/2017 20:35

You look gorgeous! And definitely don’t wear the Spanx you don’t need them! Have a lovely night out Smile

annandale · 10/11/2017 20:38

Phwoar! You look like a doll... have a great night.
