Kind of bra intervention but dd's first bra.

She's done the measuring as per the usual recommendation. She's 27 below and 34 across. Can anyone tell me what that means in English please and recommend a good first bra? She's been wearing crop tops for a few years, said point blank no for a bra, but I feel she needs more support now and is ready to try a bra.

The only shops we can get to tomorrow which sells bras are Sainsbury's and marks and spencer.

She will not be fitted by a stranger and won't try on in the shop. She has physical difficulties so I won't be making her. I'll just go back and forth when necessary.

Thank you very much.

What do you mean by too sexy OP? Hmm. Seems a strange thing to worry about. After all, no one is going to see your 14 year old’s bra, are they? I though you had bought some bras, so why do you need shops for “teenagers”? She needs women’s bras. Anyway, having had your child for 14 years, do you not know which shops she likes?

I find your obsession with her size a little odd to be honest. You asked for advice and people gave it. You ignored that advice and decided she “couldn’t possibly be” the size people recommended. This thread is making me slightly uncomfortable.

Glad you're refitting her.

34 back is just wrong!

I do think you need to read about good fitting, and if she has problems with someone else helping, then get yourself fitted, ask for tips, and then help her.
You won't be much use for her if you don't know what to look for in a well fitting bra.
And M&S are clearly bonkers.

Btw, you can look at the Bravissimo range online.
There are other online shops where you can find different styles and sometimes lower prices. You can order and return for free to try at home.

Figleaves
Brastop
Bellelingerie
Even Amazon

I’m out.

Some bras I looked at were sexy. That’s not what I want for my child. I thought there would be a teenager section for bars in all shops, as there is in M&S. I’m new to this. DD buys her clothes in line from brands who don’t have shop size.

Thanks to all who’ve helped. Given my experiences as a child I can’t stay on a thread where someone is implying those kind of things about me.

And ffs. I’m not obsessed with her size. Don’t care what size. I was merely shocked that it appeared her first bra was going to be an F.

Cheers. But I won’t allow you to make me feel shit.

I wear a 32dd and up until recently I got bras from John Lewis . Then I tried a Calvin Klein sports bra (with thick support and crossed straps on the back ) . It is the most flattering and comfortable bra I have worn in ages . I tend to wear those on day to day now .
I wear them in a medium , they are £39 at house of Fraser etc .

Surely most shops which sell bras will have simple or plain ish white bras though Op? Its not all nipple holes and leather. Which are what I would class as inappropriate, rather than just a bit of lace or what not.
