Looking for a tweed coat

I need to replace my falling apart tweed coat. I bought it years ago in a sale and can't really spend more than £200. It's an old-fashioned swing coat single breasted style. I haven't seen anything like it full stop, and the traditional tweed places are out of my price range. Any inspired ideas? Ebay doesn't have what I want but this would be great if cheaper:

You will probably hate me but I've just found a Harris Tweed coat in a charity shop. I'm not posting to brag - I had drawn a blank everywhere else but had a hunch I might get lucky in a small market town so we took a day trip and there it was.

Also (sorry if you know this already) those towns usually have at least one country clothing store and some of them, I have discovered, are pure treasure caves. In one of them I tried on a men's tweed overcoat in XS. It was a bit big on the shoulders but otherwise fitted (I'm normally size 8-10) and I was seriously thinking of buying and getting it altered. It cost £250 - a bit over budget but I thought it was a very good price for 100% wool. I'm sorry I can't remember the brand but it was Irish - possibly Dubarry or Jack Murphy.

I had also been also tracking the Uniqlo JW Anderson range in case one of the tweed coats got returned and I've seen a couple come up but they're being snapped up quickly.

Toast also have a lovely one but it's about £350 - but will come down in the sales if any left.

I love a bit of tweed and I hope you find something.

Thanks. I don't hate you (much) given the effort you've clearly put in quite a bit of effort!

Charity shops so far have offered nothing, and I only have three here, but I do keep checking.

I know - I'm a very jammy bastard indeed. I doubt I'd have found anything like that round here if I hadn't widened my search.

Do they have 'vintage' / pre-loved weigh and pay sales anywhere near you? I've found Harris Tweed jackets there a couple of times and they often have a much bigger range of men's coats too.

Nope. We're very lacking in that sort of thing. I rely on eBay.

Not keen on those sleeves, and also not available in my size. There's some fun stuff though.

Another poster got that coat and said those sleeve ties were detachable.

Is this joules one any good? A bit over budget

Joe Browns sometimes has tweedy stuff.

No, not quite enough. Also a bit too checked. Too much of a pattern and the coat wears me I find.

I don't normally buy secondhand stuff online but I'm tempted by that Aquascutum reversible coat on the Oxfam link. I really like classic, old school Aquascutum. I think it's nicer than Burberry.

Sorry I don't know what Joe Browns quality is like.

This M&S is another one I looked at. It may be the wrong shape for you although I'm sure I remember it being more fitted that it looks in the pic. I liked the style but the fabric felt quite thin and I wanted something sturdier.

I used to laugh at House of Bruar before I had my tweed epiphany. Now they've stopped sending me their catalogue so the laugh's on me. The styling is shocking but I bet some of it's great in real life

Thanks for all the links! The ideal coat would have the shape of the Peter Oan collar minus the collar. Or the style and price of the country attire without the check. And the last one is lovely but double breasted I find a pain.

I'm going to hunt on those sites though to see if the perfect coat is hiding.

Just buy that one you like . £225 is a great price for a coat you love and will last forever !.. I clicked on that link expecting it to be £5-800
