margo1974 - about 3ish years? why?

OR (is that you madame le poisson?) - well I've spoken to him about it before with the same sort of issues that you made. When I've said it I have had to tread carefully so as not to offfend his artistic sensibilites. He always says the whole thing is a bit shite and that more money should be spent on it.

JackieNo · 05/04/2007 16:26

It's not just the photography is it? OK, I do have problems seeing the detail on dark clothes, which is a photography issue, but presumably he's not responsible for styling the models, and deciding which clothes to shoot, is he?

suejonez · 05/04/2007 16:28

wannabe - is it really? Thats shocking for such a big company - that must be against the spirit of the DDA

Flamesparrow · 05/04/2007 16:28

M&S are always a SOS one aren't they

OrvilleRedenbacher · 05/04/2007 18:01

OP posts:
Pennies · 05/04/2007 18:13

he's a grumpy git and pretty much hates doing anything that doesn't have something to do with kate moss.

takes cracking pics of the DD's tho.

Flamesparrow · 05/04/2007 18:14

no idea what any of that meant - sos = shit on site

mousiemousie · 05/04/2007 18:25

Every time I have given them constructive feedback I have had an arrogant reply which says we know best thanks. I always mention I am a shareholder (untrue, but my dad has a lot of shares), makes no odds seemingly. They will not accept help ime.

Expect it would be a much better brand if they could bear to listen to their customers!

Eg I told them a few years ago that childrenswear was crap. They told me that they were confident it was great. The range performed terribly.

Durr.

SmileyGirl · 05/04/2007 18:48

I agree the childrenswear has a very limited and overpriced range. I used to love M&S, but even though they have improved adult designs the thing that really puts me off is the sheer amount of one range on a rack. You don't feel that you are getting anything special when the rail contains about ten items in each size - looks very uninviting! Anyone else agree?

colditz · 05/04/2007 18:51

stilton's quite a big cheese, uncut, and i bet they have special Stilton

oranges · 05/04/2007 18:58

Email the chief exec, Stuart Rose directly. He often responds.

colditz · 05/04/2007 18:58

Oh! Oh, I see.

Well, I went into my closest store and found4 items to fit my ds2, aged 1, and I didn't like any of them.

When I go to Marks and Spencer, I want clothes that look like Boden clothes, only cheaper. I don't want him to look like I have been to the scuzziest Woolworths I could find, and pay 3 times the price for the priviledge of shopping in an over heating, overcrowded shop.

They just aren't getting the basics right!

mousiemousie · 05/04/2007 19:02

colditz you are spot on

OrvilleRedenbacher · 05/04/2007 19:04

they have a botu tow styles of causal trousers ime too
cheap comouflags( not as nice as hte blue one boden used to do)
ro disney crapola

who wants black jeans fro a 2 year old too?

OP posts:
colditz · 05/04/2007 19:05

marks and spencers kids clothes shopping is a thoroughly unpleasant experiance - and I had big problems navigating my single 3 wheel pushchair down their lazily overstuffed aisles, so Lord knows how a twinmum would cope.

I had to leave before I have fished looking properly because ds1 was so overheated - despite me taking his coat off.

OrvilleRedenbacher · 05/04/2007 19:05

ALTHOUGH the older girls has got a lot nicer imo

OP posts:
OrvilleRedenbacher · 05/04/2007 19:06

although hwy they need a lolita type to promote it i have no idea

OP posts:
colditz · 05/04/2007 19:06

AND

If I wanted to buy TTT T shirts for ds2, aged 11 months, I would NOT pay so much for them when they are BLATENTLY no better quality than (again) Woolworths.

They either need to improve their range or drop their prices.

OrvilleRedenbacher · 05/04/2007 19:07

m id wear htese also loevt eh older girls spotty dressing gowns

OP posts:
colditz · 05/04/2007 19:08

And photos like that make me grateful for having boys, so that if I go insane and put lipstick on them when they are 7 and take photographs, someone is more likely to have the sense to stop me!

colditz · 05/04/2007 19:09
