this dress

Just out of interest ...

Do you like the dress? How it's styled?

And what age is this look for?'

dertyyuoih2 · 17/09/2017 07:38

I'm 30 and it's not my cuppa tea, I'd wear it for work if it was plain black.... but floral is a no go for me.I don't like floral.

If it was plain black I'd team if with some heels and tights.

Chottie · 17/09/2017 07:39

I'm in my 60s and would wear it with black opaque tights and low heel ankle boots for work.

EllaHen · 17/09/2017 07:46

I like the cut of the dress but not the pattern. I really don't like the pattern.

I'm 41.

If I had to wear it, it would with ballet flats and to work.

eurochick · 17/09/2017 07:53

It's a bit dowdy. Not really my thing. I bet it would be unforgiving of any sort of tummy.

I'm 41, btw.

Victoria1083 · 17/09/2017 08:01

Too busy for me, so I wouldn't -34 here

ferrier · 17/09/2017 08:04

Definitely work wear. Need to be slim but if you are would probably look pretty good in it. Would be very dull in black but in that print (not my favourite print but ok-ish) or a strong colour would be quite stylish.

Gorgosparta · 17/09/2017 08:04

I am 35. I would consider it a safe choice for work. With tights and flats or heels.

SleepFreeZone · 17/09/2017 08:05

It's absolutely fine across lots of age groups but I would be concerned about whether it would show bra straps and knicker lines so I'd want to feel the fabric and sss how close fitting it was.

outnumberedone · 17/09/2017 08:07

23 and I actually have this! Wear it with flats mostly occasionally boots

EmmaGrundyForPM · 17/09/2017 08:09

I'm 50 and wouldn't wear it as I think it's a bit frumpy. Also the high neckline wouldn't suit me as I'm busy.

RickOShay · 17/09/2017 08:13

I am 49, I wouldn't choose this dress, as I rarely wear anything patterned. It is ok, not awful, but not lovely either, you can get more for your money Grin

Botanicbaby · 17/09/2017 10:18

I think you're asking the wrong question rather than the 'what age group it is for' I'd ask what shape it's for - definitely not an Apple.

It's quite unforgiving for lumps and bumps.

MandalaYogaTapestry · 17/09/2017 10:41

38, slim and tall, wouldn't wear it as looks boring and mumsy to me.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/09/2017 10:51

It's ok for work depending on how thick the material is. I wouldn't pay £79 for a work Dress though, I'd pay it for a going out dress but I wouldn't wear it for going out in. (Age 47). Correction! (46! Grin)

AccrualIntentions · 17/09/2017 10:52

I'm 33 and would wear it with a jacket, black tights and boots for work, but wouldn't wear it for a social occasion.

Bluntness100 · 17/09/2017 10:55

I'm 48 I'd wear it, but it's just ok, a bit dull. I'd wear it with black opaques in autumn winter and black knee high boots and I'd wear it with bare legs and nude shoes in summer. But it's a bit mumsy. Work wear only, but even then I'd feel a little mumsy in it due to the pattern.

Composteleana · 17/09/2017 10:58

I like it fine, the way it's styled is probably the best way to wear it (plus leather jacket maybe as others have said) as I think nude/no tights plus court shoe type footwear would make it look more old fashioned. However, for the price (even the sale price) I'm pretty sure I could find something better - for that kind of money I'd want a bit more 'wow'. So whilst it's a look I might wear to work (teach Early Years) I'd not pay £80 for a work dress!

Badweekjustgotworse · 17/09/2017 10:58

first impression... MEH

greeeen · 17/09/2017 11:08

I'm 30 and would wear with tights and boots on cold days or a casual night out. Wouldn't spend more than £50 on this type of dress usually though.

Floisme · 17/09/2017 11:08

I don't like the floral pattern but I used to wear that shape of dress a lot with opaques, flat boots and heavy duty underwear. In my opinion it's worth paying that price for good, forgiving, hard wearing fabric. 61 with a decent silhouette (in the right underwear) and good legs from the knee down. I probably wouldn't wear it now but that's because I did it too much for too long and got bored.

SinglePringle · 17/09/2017 11:12

I'm 47 and wouldn't wear it. Think it's really dull, boring and bland.

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 17/09/2017 11:43

I'm 39 and I'd wear it to work.

3DGlasses · 17/09/2017 11:53

I'm 40, a tall hourglass size 13. I'd wear that style of dress with black opaques and black ankle boots to work, but I don't like small/busy prints or floral designs, so I wouldn't go for that particular dress.

3DGlasses · 17/09/2017 11:53

Size 12 - not 13! Grin

bananafish81 · 17/09/2017 11:55

Shape is OK for work wear

Loathe the print. I would have said mumsy but I'll go for frumpy instead

I'm 35 - I'd have said it was for someone in their mid 40s upwards

Although I know loads of women in their mid 40s upwards who wouldn't be seen dead in it

But that's my personal taste. Others doubtless wouldn't be seen dead in what I wear, horses for courses
