Thoughts please.

My niece uses it. My skin is fairly dry and I didn't find it foamed enough for my liking, but have some that she left in our bathroom for when I run out of my usual :)

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/08/2017 23:12

Yes - it's not supposed to be a foaming cleanser. You can either wash it off or remove with a damp flannel. It made a big difference to my skin (enough for people to comment).

Wolfiefan · 28/08/2017 23:14

It's mild but didn't improve my skin. Ultrabland from lush more moisturising or camomile cleansing balm from body shop.

Cherrytart6 · 28/08/2017 23:17

Great on dry delicate skin

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 29/08/2017 08:20

It doesn't remove makeup, it doesn't foam and there is nothing lux or sexy about it. However, it's the only cleanser I've ever used that doesn't make my greasy/sensitive face sting or turn red.

echt · 29/08/2017 08:32

It's fab. I use it as face wash, with a hot flannel for deep clean at the weekends, make up remover.

It is not meant to foam.

MattBerrysHair · 29/08/2017 08:41

I use it and it's marvellous. I have greasy yet very sensitive skin. My pores are less blocked and dermatitis and rosacea are under control. I find it does remove makeup. I use it on a cotton pad on a dry face to get it off, then I wash as normal with cetaphil and water.

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 29/08/2017 08:48

Thanks, I'm going to try using it on a cotton pad.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/08/2017 08:50

I didn't like it at all, found it irritated my sensitive skin.

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 29/08/2017 09:23

I am a Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser devotee, but I use Cetaphil before a morning shower as a freshen- up cleanser, and it's fine on my sensitive skin.
I wouldn't choose to use it for make-up removal, as I like the LE routine for that.

Grawp · 29/08/2017 09:40

I used to use it, but then switched to the Cerave cleanser which is very similar but less drying. And maybe doesn't have SLS? I'm not sure on that one. Similar price for the size of bottle though.

Fairylea · 29/08/2017 09:42

I really hated it. I read it was good for spot prone sensitive skin but it made my spots 100 times worse (I am 36 if that makes any difference). I use Garnier deep pore wash now and find that's fantastic.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 29/08/2017 09:47

I initially bought it for my son to use when he was on roaccutane because it was gentle on his skin. I use it in the morning when my skin doesn't need a deep clean to remove make-up etc and it's leaves my skin feeling clean but not tight or dry.

PurpleDaisies · 29/08/2017 09:49

It didn't suit me either. I think I was expecting it to work miracles whereas actual it's just an ordinary gentle facewash.

Appuskidu · 29/08/2017 09:53

I think it's really good. I have been using it alongside this

avon

For a year now and my skin has improved drastically.

Margomyhero · 29/08/2017 12:04

I use it most day. Sometimes I use Dove soap instead.

However, I rarely wear make up . If I do I need to use a micellar water first to remove make up.

Margomyhero · 29/08/2017 12:05

I buy the big duo pack from Costco.

Much cheaper.

Hairq · 29/08/2017 12:24

I use it when my sensitive skin is sore or irritated. It doesn't have an amazing effect or anything but it's the only thing that I know 100% will not irritate it more and will calm it down a bit.

gamerpigeon · 29/08/2017 12:25

I use the oily skin version and it's fantastic. I only get the odd spot now, whereas when I started using it I had full on adult acne on my forehead

MadisonMontgomery · 29/08/2017 13:54

I love it - I use it as a second cleanse with a flannel. Was surprised to read Caroline Hirons hates it so much as it is a life-saver for my dry skin, especially in winter.

Grawp · 29/08/2017 15:50

Madison I think it's probably because it gets a lot of hype but it is very basic and has no moisturising properties compared to a very similar product from Cerave that I mentioned earlier.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/08/2017 16:32

I really like it. I use the moisturiser too.

vasseve1 · 29/08/2017 17:25

Cetaphil has been sold and advertised for sensitive skin and for people with rosacea. Don't touch it has parabens and one of the worst offenders sodium lauryl sulfate which should be avoided at all costs. It does not contain one beneficial ingredient for your skin.

OlennasWimple · 29/08/2017 17:27

It works well for me, alongside the cetaphil moisturiser for oily skin

I like its simplicity - it has taken me years to realise that I need to keep my skin care routine as simple as possible

vasseve1 · 29/08/2017 17:59

Water, cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearyl alcohol, methyl paraben, propylparaben, butylparaben =Toxic sludge. If your skin wasn't sensitive before given time it will be.
