Odd isn't it? It really dries my skin out.

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 29/08/2017 18:46

I think that both CH and the 'cosmetic cop' person are both wrong to claim that there are bad ingredients, there are just ingredients to which an individual is sensitive and/or allergic.

As this thread proves, there is no one-size-fits-all. My face loves Cepaphil, it works wonderfully for me but that doesn't mean that there is nothing in it to which someone else isn't sensitive.

HistoriaTrixie · 29/08/2017 18:55

I love it, it's worked well for me for a decade or more.

vasseve1 · 29/08/2017 18:57

Yes good to keep things simple but it is the ingredients in the procducts. Cetaphil is effectively toxic sludge. Green People would be far better gentle and organic with no parabens.

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 29/08/2017 19:00

Well its toxic sludge thats kept my skin lovely for 5 years now.
I put it on my dry face before my morning shower and i love it

vasseve1 · 29/08/2017 19:09

Glad it works for you 'AllTheWitty' it might be because you don't have it on your face very long if you immediately jump in the shower. Time will tell I guess. I stick by all the information I know about this product and company. I don't trust a company that first put out this product and denied it contained nasties than backtracked when customers got a reaction from it.

Indeed vasseve...You seem very passionate about your hate for it but different strokes and all that jazz

vasseve1 · 29/08/2017 19:19

Indeed AllThe Witty.

CheckingMyPrivilege · 29/08/2017 20:31

It's very basic but it gets the job done. I've used it for years.

WomblingThree · 29/08/2017 21:54

I bought a travel size bottle to try for 99p from eBay, having read over and over how good it is. I use it for my second cleanse after oil, and remove with a hot cloth.

It's fine but I don't think I'd bother with a big bottle. It doesn't sting which is good, but I prefer other cleansers.

Runningyogabooze · 29/08/2017 21:57

I think it's fine (I have rosacea) but prefer a Dermalogica soap free wash and one by La Roche Posay called Toleriane.

Chewbecca · 29/08/2017 21:59

I use it in the shower every morning.

I like it because it doesn't irritate my skin at all, not because it makes any noticeable change or improvement.

I think I may have rosacea, not diagnosed though.

Well isn't that the case for most cleansers - you put it on your face and then rinse or wipe off.
You do seem rather vociferous about it, surely if people who use it are happy with the results then it suits their skin.

Semiskimmed · 01/09/2017 12:31

I didn't really like it to be honest. It was very gentle on my skin but I didn't feel like I was really clean.
