This thread is for the products that really do as promised...

Mine are Clinique Full to flutter mascara - love how it goes on and how easily it washes off

NYX eye primer - used to have a real problem with my eye liner smudging until i got this

OPI nail envy - i've never ever had such long and strong nails as i do now after a month of using it

What are yours?

Cerave moisturising lotion (great for sensitive eczema or acne prone skin, it contains ceramides)
Eucerin aquaphor
Nyx tame and frame brow pomade (much better than using a brow pencil imo)

crazymissdaisy · 27/08/2017 00:40

Origins for oily skin products ( fashewash, scrub, moisturiser) . The new estee lauder nude water double wear foundation ( it's entirely the opposite if old dreadful doublewear)

CantChoose · 27/08/2017 07:10

I haven't been drinking I promise. That should read:
Funny how just like the shit thread there's some here I love and some I'd put on my own shit list...

Ktown · 27/08/2017 07:25

No7 longwear eyeliners
Mac prolongwear concealer (blemishes and redness)
Clarins instant concealer
Lanolips
Erborian cc cream
Stila cream blush
Ysl les saharienne bronzer

whyhastherumgone · 27/08/2017 10:13

It is funny how alike this thread is to the shit products one - it seems like a lot of beauty products are very marmite and love/hate.

I've thought of another OPI Fast Drying Drops [not sure if that's the proper name] - I'm terrible for smudging nail varnish but these actually make it dry quickly so I can minimise the damage!

I also really like Biore Watery Essence - the only UV protection [really high protection] that I can put on underneath make up and doesn't bring me out in spots.

Estée Lauder advanced night repair.

Red light led. I don't know why these aren't more popular given the results & cost of the masks on Amazon.

whyhastherumgone · 27/08/2017 10:39

I've never heard of Red Light LED @fluffycloudland77 Blush

OP posts:
Singap0reSling · 27/08/2017 10:43

Eve Lom cleanser
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
Nuxe lip balm (the one in the jar)

Those are my repeat buys year in year out, definitely my desert island products.

Ijustneedmycoffee · 27/08/2017 11:16

Fluffycloud will you explain the red light led thing? How does it work? Is it expensive?

Retin A is my best. And SPF. Both recommendations from here.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/08/2017 11:21

redlighttherapyguide.com/red-light-therapy-explained/

One of the masks they reccomend is £67 on Amazon.

Ijustneedmycoffee · 27/08/2017 11:28

Thanks fluffy.

What one do you use? Can you use it with Retin A? What kind of results have you seen?

ihatethecold · 27/08/2017 11:30

Le roche posey sun cream. Love it.
Pricey but works really well and it won't give you spots when applied under make up.

riskyinred · 27/08/2017 11:35

Clarins pore minimising serum. It is like magic on my golf ball-esque nose.

HundredMilesAnHour · 27/08/2017 11:43

IT Cosmetics BB cream
Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo & Conditioner
Aesop Reverence hand wash & Resurrection hand balm
Peter Thomas Roth face wash
Algenist Genius Melting cleanser
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

McDougal · 27/08/2017 11:51

The Body Shop camomile cleansing butter/balm. It melts absolutely everything, even waterproof mascara, and doubles as a hot cloth cleanser too.

Mac Pro Longwear concealer is the best I've ever tried. The tiniest bit goes a long way.

I need to not read this thread until my student loan comes through next month!

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/08/2017 12:57

Coffee

I've got a neutrogena one for acne with red & blue light but I covet one of the masks off that site. I just look fresher, any spots shrink up when I use it & scars I've got from using retin a are fading. Sometimes I put Estée Lauder advanced night repair on then 20 mins of LED. I'm 40 & got asked for ID to buy beer last week.

It's a work in progress so I won't know the full results until I'm 60 odd.

They use red LEDs in sun beds now which is totally counterproductive. In America you can get whole sunbed sized red led beds.

Now that would be something.
