Yes, why not do those shirts in plain? I quite like the dark blue one though.

TicketyBoo83 · 26/08/2017 20:44

Does anyone on the planet actually LIKE cashmillion? It's so static-y I get shocks off everything, my hair goes mental and to top it off I end up with sweaty smelly pits cos it's not in the least bit breathable!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2017 20:48

The dark blue is the best of them, but it is blue (I hate blue). Sorry to be right about the t-shirts. I've just bought this one from JL which I'm hoping might hold up a bit better.

thecatfromjapan · 26/08/2017 20:51

Cashmillion is indeed horrible. I just don't understand the point. It's relationship to cashmere is not even at the level of the margarine:butter ratio. Sad Why bother with it? The world, surely, did not need another non-natural fabric. I cannot understand what it brings to the party.

I saw a lovely purple-ish cashmere cardigan, that I was very drawn to. Sadly, I really do have enough in the way of cashmere cardigans.

A lot of the dresses don't have pockets. Cos, for all their 'architectural-chic' vibe, have pockets. I don;t know about you but I think there is something quite off about producing women's clothing - for adult women - without pockets.

Gingernaut · 26/08/2017 20:51

Cashmillion is acrylic. It has that smell problem. Hmm

I saw the purpleish cardigan too - it's beautiful.

Timefortea99 · 26/08/2017 21:29

They have these classic cardigans, round necked in loads of colours. I find them quite useful for work as they are not bulky or too warm. I have lost weight and I need to get a size smaller. This year the ones they have produced are hideous. Look really cheap and hang funny. I will have to go elsewhere.

Their t-shirts are always off too. Funny shapes, weird long sleeves to elbow. I wonder why they don't do Breton tops.

BestIsWest · 26/08/2017 21:36

As it happens I just spotted this stripey but not seen irl.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2017 21:40

I got really excited by that stripey top, until I realised it was blue and not black.

IrritatedUser1960 · 26/08/2017 21:44

marks and Spencers used to be great for basics but NOTHING in there fits me, there is always something wrong with the fit of all their clothes and they cut corners.

BestIsWest · 26/08/2017 21:44

Aw Remus, I live in navy.

thecatfromjapan · 26/08/2017 21:44

A M and S close to me had a range of Bretons. I'm sure I didn't hallucinate it. It was a veritable wall of Bretons, and installation of Bretons.

Smile Glad you spotted the purple cardi too, Remus. I hovered around it and had to have a firm word with myself.

Gingernaut · 26/08/2017 21:45

I've got the stripey 3/4 sleeve top with the embroidered flowers on it. ♥♥♥

Gingernaut · 26/08/2017 21:53

I saw that. It's very nice. Bright, colourful and a simpe design.

Simple. Simple design.

I had a Breton from m and s last winter. There were a number of colour options.

margaritasbythesea · 26/08/2017 22:09

I went in last week. I do think the trenches could look ok on some people, and I did buy some of their scoop neck t´shirts and this stripy tee.

I also bought some white jeans though so don´t listen to me. I don´t know what came over me.

highinthesky · 26/08/2017 22:12

M&S clothing business is failing with good reason.

They should stick with what they're good at: Simply Food!

thecatfromjapan · 26/08/2017 22:14

Were they the Limited Edition white jeans, with a zip at the ankle?

I quite like white jeans and have a pair I like very much. Blush Sadly, I've decided I'm a bit too Klutzy for them at the moment. For some reason, I seem to be doing too much to guarantee they won;t get a major spill all over them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2017 22:42

I'm not a fan of those half sleeves on me - prefer properly short or three quarter length.

Gingernaut · 26/08/2017 22:57

The half sleeves are fine for me.

They fit as 3/4 sleeves.

3/4 sleeves fit me to the wrist.

LadyLapsang · 26/08/2017 23:01

I can't remember the last time I bought any clothes from M & S. OK for pop socks and tights but that is about it. Also, not impressed with receiving an email about their beauty box a few weeks ago and when I attempted to order a qualifying purchase when I returned home from work, they were all sold out. If that kind of promotion is supposed to drive customer loyalty, no wonder they are doing so badly.
