Tennis outfit for the chunky of leg - Photo included!

I'm taking up tennis lessons and want to buy an outfit. I love tennis skirts on other people... but my legs are a bit chunky (see photo!) and most of the skirts are really very short indeed. Any recommendations for something a little more flattering?

I'm 5'6", size 12 but wide around the hips.

Of course, it wasn't meant as a slight! I agree pockets are essential I've been known to lose a ball down my pants when using my waistband as a holder Grin

Almost everybody in my club wears yoga pants/leggings...in the winter a few wear skirts or skorts over leggings.

I play at two clubs. Anything goes, skorts like yours are the norm in the summer with a polo usually. In the winter it's a motley selection of leggings, yoga pants, track suits and ancient fleeces.
The best investment is a decent pair of tennis shoes.

I always buy the Head, longer length skorts, think they sell them on Amaxon

You look nice, but do you need a tennis outfit if you are just starting? At my lessons everyone just wore sporty leggings and a hoodie.

OP you will find that the outfit you are wearing will look very different with trainers on. Get a pair of trainer socks, the ones that don't show (elongates legs) and put on a pair of trainers. The chunk and bulk of the trainers will completely change the look, at the moment your legs are against your feet - everyone's feet are skinny and tiny compared to their legs so get the trainers on and you'll be good to go in that outfit.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I wonder is a satchel/messenger style bag would be a better option at her age. Thoughts?
