Is this dress suitable for a wedding?

I loved the dress when I bought it and there's something I do really like about it but when I put it on, I feel like I'm wearing a sack with a belt round it Grin

The second dress is lovely but if you don't like it don't wear it, you'll just feel uncomfortable.

Bumblybumbly · 04/08/2017 21:29

Oh I really like the second one!

MummyOfTwoxx · 04/08/2017 21:29

I'd rather wear the second though as I don't want to be "that person" who turns up wearing something inappropriate.

i would say yes to the first dress if it wasn't for the cut out bit in it. It could be seen as slightly inappropriate.

HarryBiscuit · 04/08/2017 21:31

The second one is still flattering though because you have such a great figure. Otherwise it would maybe be a hard dress to pull off.

MelvinThePenguin · 04/08/2017 21:31

The second one looks great on you Smile.

The first one does too, but I wouldn't wear it for a wedding. That's a summer holiday dress IMO.

CJCreggsGoldfish · 04/08/2017 21:32

I much prefer the second one. You have a fab figure and it fits you lovely without being tight.

MummyOfTwoxx · 04/08/2017 21:32

I used to be overweight and I would never have worn something like this because I would have looked even bigger. I think I still see myself in my old body.

Thank you for the confidence boost everyone. I do struggle with that at times Smile

Second dress is nicer

dahliaaa · 04/08/2017 21:34

You look fantastic in the second dress. If you've got long hair wear your hear up and some statement earings.

dahliaaa · 04/08/2017 21:36

Re losing the weight. I can see why you wouldn't have felt comfortable in that dress if you were bigger but the shape really is very flattering on you now.

happydays00 · 04/08/2017 21:38

I think the first would be fine with a jacket/cardigan. The second is a bit mehhh. You've got such a great figure, unless you put the second with a "wow" pair of shoes and a hat/fascinator I think you can do better

MummyOfTwoxx · 04/08/2017 21:39

Just with it tying round the middle (which is where I carried most of my weight) and then being lose everywhere on my slimmer parts. I would have been massively unflattering on me before.

I vote for the second dress OP....it looks lovely on you and flatters your great figure! 😀

CarpeVitam · 04/08/2017 21:45

Ditto a PP, some killer heels!

needsomesunshineandwine · 04/08/2017 21:47

What @happydays00 said, I'd opt for different shoes with 2nd dress. I bet you look fab in whatever dress you choose.

smu06set · 04/08/2017 21:47

First one with a blazer? That covers the cutout for day and take the blazer off for dancing at night :)
Second dress is gorgeous but definitely more conventional.

GinasGirl · 04/08/2017 21:48

The second one looks really great on you OP!

Hairq · 04/08/2017 21:50

The second dress looks way better and really suits your figure - you're tiny enough to wear something like that and it looks chic whereas a curvier person would look like they were wearing a sack (but the first dress would probably hang a little better on them). Definitely dress two - it looks lovely on you.

Cannotwillnot · 04/08/2017 21:51

2nd dress looks really lovely. Enjoy the wedding.

Hellywelly10 · 04/08/2017 21:58

Love the 2nd dress. The first one is nice too. You can get away wI think dress 1 if the bride and groom aren't ultra consertive.

MargotLovedTom1 · 04/08/2017 21:59

Second dress. You have a great figure and I never would have guessed you used to be overweight. I would possibly look for some navy heels to go with it.

MargotLovedTom1 · 04/08/2017 22:01

Or grey? I can't make out whether the dominant colour is grey or navy.
