Is there anything that genuinely makes your hair grow faster?

...I think I know the answer, but, is there anything?

I love my crop but looking at recent photos realised it's not suiting my hair type and not doing much for me, want a cropped inverted bob, jawline length, but always flake out at trying to stick with growing it out!!

No.

Sorry!

PlainOldJosephineMary · 27/07/2017 22:01

I swear by ultimate blends (the yellow one). I've used it for 2 years now and my hair has grown faster than ever before! (Am 33)

PlainOldJosephineMary · 27/07/2017 22:01

Shampoo & conditioner that is!

zeddybrek · 27/07/2017 22:06

Alpecin shampoo. Leave it in for a minute or so.
Sea kelp supplements

JoyceDivision · 27/07/2017 22:06

Ah shucks.

I have just reinvested in body shop banana shampoo and conditioner.

I have very very fine almost fluff like hair so pixie is like dandelion clock head on me!!

I have a fab hairdresser, can't fault the cut, but miss my bob!

folic acid maybe - makea my nails grow lovely.

PlainOldJosephineMary · 27/07/2017 22:20

I love the body shop banana shampoo. So yummy. I think for me it was only ever conditioning the ends of my hair. I used to condition the whole lot and now my hair is much stronger

Jaimx86 · 27/07/2017 22:21

When I eat avocado every day for a long period (month or so) my hair always had a growth spurt.

chips4teaplease · 27/07/2017 22:21

Pregnancy.

RandomDent · 27/07/2017 22:22

Biotin?

JoyceDivision · 27/07/2017 22:26

ha yes I had lovely hair in pregnancy. Dh has been amended to prevent further babies though...

Folic acid tabs work for me too but I had blood tests and my folate was low, since starting it my hair has grown thicker and stronger.

PickingOakum · 28/07/2017 13:51

A good multivitamin and a vit c supplement. Hydrologised collagen is also supposed to be good, but can be expensive.

rightknockered · 28/07/2017 14:14

not getting a haircut for a year worked wonders for me.

user1486669405 · 28/07/2017 14:22

Mane and tail?

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 28/07/2017 17:03

I bought the Perfectil vitamins because they were on offer and they've all got the same stuff in basically but I have to admit my hairs growing quicker than it used to.

A good trim every 6 weeks doesn't hurt either, doesn't need to be much just enough to keep the split ends at bay.

specialsubject · 28/07/2017 20:41

If you are undernourished then your hair follicles won't be working at max. Eating properly and getting any medical issues sorted fix that.

specialsubject · 28/07/2017 20:41

Excess vitamin c will just ensure your toilet doesn't get scurvy.

Gwenethgryn · 28/07/2017 20:45

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - really works!

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 28/07/2017 20:47

This is something that would interest me too as I mistakenly decided I wanted short hair now I can't seem to grow it back.

I used to love body shop banana shampoo. But that was back in the day's when I still lived with my parents and subsequently had more disposable income.

Might give the folic acid a go.

Dont like the pregnancy idea. There are other side effects to pregnancy such as a baby that I would much rather not have. Grin

My nails grew quick when I had a smoothie for breakfast everyday. So it might work for hair too?

TwoBusyCnuts · 28/07/2017 20:48

You have to persevere and don't cut it for at least 18 months.

Embekkisson1 · 28/07/2017 20:51

Spinach three times a day, I was on a health food kick and my hair was getting thicker and thicker .

RoseStillRose · 28/07/2017 21:10

Up your protein intake a bit.

titsbumfannythelot · 28/07/2017 21:53

Whoever said pregnancy was right. Until the baby hits six months. And then it's Dennis the menace hairdo time.

KimchiLaLa · 28/07/2017 21:54

Biotin does work for me
