Sainsburys do a two pack of cotton, non padded underwired bras.
White/black/nude.
I find them comfortable and only £10 per pack.

Fashion world ?

sexcauldron · 14/06/2017 06:07

I got mine from ASDA online

C0RAL · 14/06/2017 12:49

Are you sure you are wearing the right size ? ( had to ask )

IwillrunIwillfly · 14/06/2017 12:52

I think yours clothing do them. But second the person above, are you def wearing the right size?

Longji · 14/06/2017 12:54

Another querying the size, try this calculator booborbust.com/bra-measuring-guide/
I've gone from wearing a 38d to a 32g and much more comfortable!

Jultay · 14/06/2017 15:44

Been measured at M and S x

monkeyfacegrace · 14/06/2017 15:46

Ah. Try a 38G instead. You won't be a 44DD!

dementedpixie · 14/06/2017 15:47

M&S are not good at measuring. What dress size are you? For comparison i am a 20/22 and wear 36GG

ImperialBlether · 14/06/2017 16:08

I've never understood this - surely if the OP is wearing a 44" bra she wouldn't physically be able to get a 36" bra on?

ImperialBlether · 14/06/2017 16:09

To do it up, I mean.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/06/2017 16:11

I get mine in Asda.

KatharinaRosalie · 14/06/2017 16:20

I've never understood this - surely if the OP is wearing a 44" bra she wouldn't physically be able to get a 36" bra on? - depends also on the cup size. If the cup is too small, people often go up in band size to compensate.

If we take a simple example, 34A bra and 30DD bra both fit a person who measures 35 inches around the bust. If that person measures 30 inces below boobs, she would be much more comfortable in a 30DD. But if she's been measured by M&S, she will be in a 34A and will feel that it's tight enough. Won't get the same support though.

WomblingThree · 14/06/2017 16:37

I know this bra obsession is a thing on here, but some people are actually clever enough to use a tape measure.

On every single thread with even the vaguest mention of a bra, countless people swoop in to tell people that they don't know their own bra size. It does get tedious 🙄

C0RAL · 14/06/2017 16:49

If threads about bras annoy you, can I suggest that you don't click on threads with " bra " in the title? Usually works a treat.

FaginsRightHand · 14/06/2017 16:51

Agree wombling
I measure a 40C.
Anything under 40" wouldn't fit around me.

delilahbucket · 14/06/2017 16:56

M and S put me in a 36DD once. It rode up my back and my boobs just sagged. Then I found bravissimo and was put in a 32FF. Felt so much better! Perhaps, op, if you are struggling to find a comfortable bra, it is time to get a tape measure and see what size you should actually be wearing.

dementedpixie · 14/06/2017 16:57

I used to wear a 40C as that's what M&S told me I was. They were wrong! I am a 36GG. They add extra inches to the underbust measurement which gives a bra with too big a back size and too small a cup.

Most people probably don't measure themselves and trust that they have been measured correctly by others

JennyOnAPlate · 14/06/2017 16:57

What dress size are you op if you don't mind me asking? Generally adding 20 to your dress size will give you your approximate bra band size (I'm dress size 20 and bra band size 40 for example) If you're considerably smaller than size 22 your bra is the wrong size.

The supermarkets are actually really good for those sizes (I have bras from Asda and Sainsbury's which are very good.)

BubbleBed · 14/06/2017 16:59

dementedpixie I'm a 12-14 and I'm a 36F. I'm a 34E when I'm a stone lighter. So bras aren't fully related to size.

dementedpixie · 14/06/2017 17:00

Yes but if the OP is a size 16/18 they aren't likely to have a 42/44 back size

MissCherryCakeyBun · 14/06/2017 17:05

Have you been to Boob or Bust and done the measure there? I've worn a 40DD for years ( my mum was a M&S bra fitter) I am now in a 42G and oh my god has it made a difference in comfort and "presentation"

booborbust.com

As for large band sizes Matalan, Asda, Ann summers all do affordable bras in large band and cup sizes

WomblingThree · 14/06/2017 19:34

C0RAL the title of the thread implied the OP wanted to find a certain size of bra. I clicked on it because as a 40 back, I was going to suggest places where the OP might find nice bras, but there's not much point as she will be told she isn't a 40/42.

dementedpixie that just isn't true. I'm a 14-16 and I wear a 40G bra. As I said, I'm more than capable of using a tape measure to measure under my bust as 39.5 inches. When I was an anorexic size 8 I wore a 36F. My rib cage is just big, it's as simple as that. It measured 35 inches without an ounce of spare flesh on it. My waist at the same time measured 22 inches. Whether you accept that or not is immaterial, but no-one can tell someone what they "must" measure without actually measuring them.

dementedpixie · 14/06/2017 19:44

OP said M&S measured her and they are renowned for adding extra inches. In general it is true that a smaller dress size will have a smaller back size. Of course there will be exceptions. You have at least measured whereas OP hasnt
