Does anyone else not do brown?

I keep rifling through my wardrobe and anything brown I come across is taken to the charity shop.

With me muttering under my breath, what on earth was I thinking.

I feel it's just dingy, drab, musty, makes me feel old- er
I'm getting rid of beige carpets as well.
Is it just me or is brown just not a fashion colour.

I think it's not been in fashion for a while. It'll come back round though.

I don't do brown because it doesn't suit my colouring and makes me look washed out. If brown suits a person, then no I don't think they look dingy, drab, musty or old(er).

Though you're right, I haven't seen many brown items (other than shoes) in the shops for a while. I don't think it tends to get stocked much in S/S - it's more of an A/W colour.

Brown suits me. I look radiant in it. I also love dark brown wooden furniture.

Maybe it's a phase I'm going through 😀

Ever ever, it looks terrible on me. It just blends in with my skin tone and looks grim. It must have been in fashion about 10-12 years ago though as I recently threw out loads of old brown clothes when I was going through the clothes I left at my mother's house.

Brown suits me. I tend to wear it more in autumn and winter....I blend in with the trees then...

About fifteen years ago there was a lot of brown about and absolutely no navy (I remember really struggling to buy navy shoes at the time) and now it's the other way round.

For me it has to be exactly the right shade of brown or else I (literally) look like shit but when I can get it right, I love it. My favourite is that very, very dark chocolate shade - almost black but much more flattering on me.

It's not a fashion colour at the moment - it disappeared when grey came along but I'm sure it'll be back at some point.

Mint velvet occasionally stock a faded version, as is their wont. I bought a top there recently with a glittery pink thread running through it, so not strictly brown. I'm not averse to it but can't remember buying anything brown in the last few years.

Kettlewell's the only place I know that still does a half reasonable choice of shades. I keep meaning to send for something 'dark chocolate' to see if it's dark enough.

No brown, ever. Not even shades of brown - beige, taupe - yuk. It's just not me. I wont even have brown shoes or bags.

The only brown I can wear is a dark greyish brown, if it has a lot of grey in it really suits me, without that it looks awful.

My school uniform was dark brown, so after 14 years of wearing it I feel enough is enough.

Brown beige or khaki don't suit me at all
I look hideous in nude mustard or some peachy shades too
I've never had my colours done but suit black grey navy, most blues cooler pinks and purples

I've never really worn brown, unless it's footwear, I owned a chocolate brown waterfall cardigan years ago but that's about it, I just don't think it suits me, maybe I'll experiment this winter with some cardis/jumpers .

I've never done it but I'm Asian and it would clash with my own skin colour. It's not a nice clash either - I would just look like a sack of potatoes.

I like stone, taupe, cool light grey-browns. But anything warmer, like proper beige or brown is horrendous on me.

My exception is tan shoes and bags, which I like for the summer. They're quite neutral to me.

I love brown. I have a lovely brown wrap DVF dress. Always get compliments on it.

I look dreadful in grey though. It makes me look ill.

I suit brown, very dark chocolate brown is great on me and so hard to find. I'm hoping it comes back in fashion.

I've always worn lots of black with very solid colours- purple, turquoise, if that makes sense.

My sister- same size and colouring always wears browns, creams, softer blues and greens and I think she looks great.

So last autumn I bought 2 pairs of brown leather boots and a grey/brown pair of suede ugg style boots. A brown handbag. Navy coat and a few more khaki tops. I look great! Been getting so many compliments. They suit me so well.

I look really put together these days, and more mature I think (always lacked in style- struggled to lose the grungey teenager look).

I wear brown leather shoes and bags. Never wear black!

I have tan bags, which I like, but no brown clothes. My mum wears brown jeans with a brown (same shade) jumper and brown shoes. The colour is fine but the dressed all in one colour look isnt good.
