I am looking for sandals that have Saltwater uppers but proper comfortable soles. Do these exist????

Fitflops. All my tired old feet can wear in the summer. In the winter, Emus and Clarks. How the hell did I walk around all day in high heels?

Not at all like Saltwaters, but totallyliterally's link lead me to these and these so I think I may have to do some immediate and totally gratuitous shoe shopping.

I have Birkenstock Burmas which I love and used to be able to walk all day in but can't anymore (perhaps my feet changed shape when I was preg) but the most comfy sandals are a pair of Tevas with a really thin strap (discontinued now sadly) which are brilliant although I've had them so long now that the strap is about to wear through and they'll have to go in the bin soon - sob Also find Teva flipflops the most comfy brand, to go completely off topic Grin

I find saltwaters really uncomfortable. I bought some last year and, although they look amazing, my feet feel like they're being split in two if I wear them all day.

My previous sandals were Clarkes originals and I could walk miles in those without any problems.

I can recommend the Fitflop Bon leather sandals. I've had mine for 4 years and rarely wear any other sandals. I've walked round cities and up hills in them and always found them extremely comfortable.

I just bought these fitflops which are quite similar to the saltwaters in style but have a much more padded sole. Hopefully they live up to the hype; I don't do well with sore feet!

I am in Aus and I have worn my Saltwaters every single day since about October. I do about 15,000 steps a day (I also have a fitbit) and have never had a blister or any sort of issue. I actually hate moving into winter shoes and away from my salties.

Fitflop Bon Lizard.
Cork sole- sooooooooo comfortable

Sorry to reopen the thread, but can anyone tell me how wide the Saltwater sandals are? I need some new sandals but I need them to be quite wide.

Clickncollect · 27/04/2017 10:23

I've found them to be wide - I have quite a large bunion on my right food and the saltwater sandal covers that nicely and isn't tight. They also fit nicely on my non-bunioned left food so I think they kind of mould to your foot. Hope that helps!

MrsMarigold · 27/04/2017 14:01

These are gorgeous, I saw them in the shop on Regents Street the other day and the workmanship is incredible - sadly slightly out of my price range for summer sandals but if you fancied a splurge.

zenasfuck · 27/04/2017 15:25

I can't wear saltwaters as they aren't wide enough 😢😢
But I love them

squiz81 · 27/04/2017 22:27

I've got wide feet and Saltwaters fit like a dream. If they feel tight at first you need to wear them in water and let them dry on your foot, they then mould your foot perfectly.

ImNotReallyAWaitress · 27/04/2017 22:45

birkenstock 'kumba' is same style but might be more comfortable as it has the soft footbed
