Not Your Daughter's Jeans: worth the price?

I was actually quite shocked at the price of these! What is it about them that's so marvellous?

I mean, £100 for a pair of jeans!Shock.

Any experience of them, good or bad?

They are pretty spiffy I must say. Make sure you size down in them - at least once size! Some can be a bit blingy, the plain onces are ace.

They are good. Wear well and last for ages. However, I have since discovered Sainsbury's jeggings, which are the absolute business.I love the pull on elasticated waist. No more uncomfortable waist band drama.Grin

I totally loves mine. I don't buy any other now. They hold their shape and they don't fade.

I got a pair a few years ago (on the advice of a personal shopper). Not great. I am petite and the size 8 were just too big round the bum and not flattering at all. OTOH, Sainsbury's skinny jeans are fab and only cost 14 or 15 pounds!

They are the nearest thing I have ever had, to a clothing miracle. My arse looks magnificent, my gut is contained, they wash beautifully and wear really really well.

Hmm. IME these jeans which are pricey and aimed at ''ladies'' are just high waisted jeans which you can buy more cheaply elsewhere if you shop around. Maybe back when all the high st jeans were barely coming up to the hip bone with a one inch zip there was a place for these 'real women' jeans - but not so much now i don't think.

My last ever dally with this concept was from QVC Diane Gilman. As pp said - came up huge and was baggy round the arse.

Next have high waisted comfy ones and so do M&S for half the price.

I think these are awful personally - look amazing when you first try on but baggy and shapeless in no time.

Its a few years since I had any so they may have improved but i found them a spectacular rip off.

That's really disappointing. I too am a fan of Sainsbury's jeans which I find lose their elasticity quite quickly but it doesn't matter as they're cheap.

Perhaps I won't bother....

I have one pair and would highly recommend. Definitely size down but they are very slimming and for me have held their shape and colour. Think mine are 4 years old now and look practically new. Completely agree with Safestyle.
They are certainly not baggy around the arse (but that may be saying something about my arse Grin)

NYDJ for £200 - where? I have several pairs but I actually rather like M and S jeans at the moment. NYDJ can be worth the money and they do loads of cuts and lengths. I prefer their fairly sturdy denim (definitely not £100) rather than the lightweight skinny ones.

I love mine and live in them, but don't put them in the tumble drier as it stretches the elastic in the material. I'm on my third pair.

I have quite a few pairs, all skinny, and love them. Wouldn't buy any other make. Mine haven't gone baggy anywhere and that sort of quality, plus the flattering cut, makes them worth the money as far as I'm concerned. I try to buy them from the European site, which is cheaper.

I think John Lewis pick some of the frumpier styles and wouldn't be tempted if I'd only seen them there, but if you look on their main website, they have a very wide range of styles, etc.

I love them, best jeans I have ever owned. I have sizes 2,4 and 6 - the largest are my dog walking jeans, that u have had for 4 years now ...I think they are bloody brilliant.

Love mine. Had several. They last years. Buy the skinny ones and def do not tumble dry them. I have a pair of their treggings too and they are very flattering. Thick fabric.

Gosh - I just bought a pair of NYDJ in the charity shop, for £2.50. I didn't realise they were so pricey!
