Thank you, MI. I have just ordered two bargainous new hooter holders. Will see if I can get something for DD1 or DD2 there. I machine wash bras too. I machine wash everything except stuff that has to be dry cleaned. Isn't that what the delicate cycle is for?

Think cat is constipated. I foresee an expensive trip to the vee ee tee.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 28/02/2017 22:04

Not sure I know where my delicate cycle is.....I just bung everything on quick wash, then replace when shredded!

Just watched The Replacement on BBC Shock enough to put the chill up all women!!!

motherinferior · 28/02/2017 22:07

I sort of enjoyed it.

magimedi · 28/02/2017 22:50

My large bustenholders (38E) get hand washed - the price they are I dare not trust them to the machine.

The speed course was actually good - could have been 25% shorter but even so it really made me think about my driving.

And it was held in the most beautiful old barn. A really lovely space. And I sat next to a v handsome & charming man for 4 hours................ And in the interval we were offered tea, coffee & really lovely Danish pastries.

My day has not been so bad..................

Lalsy · 28/02/2017 22:57

Silver lining then, Magi Grin?

So bra experts, what do the types mean? What is a balconette?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 28/02/2017 23:14

They give you a distinct "wobble" Lalsy!

herbaceous · 28/02/2017 23:40

I really enjoyed the speed course I went on, MM. Most interesting. And certainly made me thinking about my speed. And made me even more ragey about those who tear about unthinkingly. I didn't have a handsome and charming man next to me, sadly.

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/03/2017 00:04

A balconette is for tits that have more weight at the bottom, and are a bit thinner on top, Lslsy.

addle · 01/03/2017 06:30

Mrs S, you need Rudy's expert gecko-with-constipation advice maybe to DIY?

Enough of bras, everyone, what about knickers? was it an overwhelming vote for Sloggi last time this was raised?

DD - still not being paid her London weighting despite raising it 3/4 months ago and everyone agreeing its due. LA dragging its heels. Not sure what to advise

Lalsy · 01/03/2017 07:34

Aha, good on balconette. They are what I wear (I think) and now I know why!
M and S pants for me but mostly because unlike bras I do replace those quite often.

Time for legal advice, addle? When you say LA dragging its heels, do you mean they are coming up with phoney reasons for why it is not being paid? Or not responding or saying it is in all in hand and it isn't?

motherinferior · 01/03/2017 07:38

I must confess I don't pay enough attention to the shape a bra gives me. Once I've found that actually fits...

JL does nice pants too.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 01/03/2017 07:47

Can't beat these, IMHO.....

Low enough not to appear over your jeans, but high enough to gather it in!!!

bigTillyMint · 01/03/2017 08:06

Addle, I hope she is in a union - could they advise/help?

I don't have any bra-worries, being flat of chest!

I need to get a new frock for my cousins wedding - any recommendations?!

Later start today as we have a medical appointment for DS.

wordassociationfootball · 01/03/2017 08:06

My sis recommends those pants Beachy but I worry they, like so many others will go up my bum. I keep a small, if raggle raggle stable of under crackers that behave.

addle · 01/03/2017 08:08

Thk you Beachy!

Hard to know lalsy - school says they are on it but are quite chaotic and each time she waits a month to find out ...

Herbs, keep meaning to say that fb vid is just lovely

Thank you to lalsy, btm, mrs s and everyone else who made suggestions fr venues and did booking

Lalsy · 01/03/2017 08:11

So is it all done through school? Could she contact LA directly?

NUFC69 · 01/03/2017 08:31

I have some of those pants, too, Beachy, and they are comfortable. On the subject of knickers, DGD (almost 4) announced yesterday that she was wearing boy's pants which mummy had bought specially for her (she then proceeded to pull down her trousers when we were on the Metro to show grandad). Turns out even at her tender age she has problems with uncomfortable pants.

MM, I am a 38E as well (although some DDs are ok). Glad to hear you enjoyed your speed awareness course. We have lots of those speed things in our little town which tell you how fast you are going: the worst infringement I have seen was a bus following me which clocked 41 in a residential area. Shock

Good luck today, BTM.

magimedi · 01/03/2017 08:35

It's Spring!! It's March - all the best bit of the year is now unfolding. March 1st makes me stupidly happy every year!

Sloggi are the only undercrackers I've worn for a long time.

Off to Brighton shortly to go shopping for jeans. Am hoping that Gap ones are still a good fit for me.

Hope all goes well, BTM.

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/03/2017 08:49

London Crepeys - I have two free tickets, courtesy of MN to go and see Viceroy's House tomorrow night. Neither DD1 nor DH can go - any takers for the spare? It's an early start, you have to be there by 6.

motherinferior · 01/03/2017 09:08

And another very important question: what should we have (vegetarian) with tonight's ratatouille??

bigTillyMint · 01/03/2017 09:41

MI, my French friends used to cook the ratatouille up with rice (so rice cooked in juice) and serve with fried eggs on top. Most delicious comfort food!

MM, that speed course looks luxuryGrin

motherinferior · 01/03/2017 09:49

That sounds delish. I have also put chickpeas on to soak and boil. And we also have felafel in fridge. Am spoilt for choice.

I am effectively in my pyjamas this morning. This was supposed to force me to go swimming at lunchtime but may backfire as I am so warm and comfortable...

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 01/03/2017 10:16

Good luck this morning, BTM, with ds......

BD, when is your meeting with the hideous questions?

I'm all about the fingers crossed for my ds, as it is OK at the moment. The school have been soooooo amazing; crap subjects dropped, GCSE's pared down, learning support and counselling slotted into the gaps created. And an award for most improvement in assembly - I don't care if it's true or not, they are doing ALL the right things. And all pretty much without asking......

I'm being chicken about following up on my interview last week - tell me to contact them please. I just need to make sure I'm absolutely clear about what I will do and won't do. Does anyone have a self employed consultant type contract thing I can amend or shall I just outline terms and let them come up with a contract they use? So new to this......

motherinferior · 01/03/2017 10:52

Beachy, you ring them and I'll do some chasing tooSmile

Lalsy · 01/03/2017 12:15

Beachy, that is great about school.

In my limited experience in a very different field, they will probably have their own contract and be paranoid about any changes and worry about accidentally giving you employment rights, HMRC status, PII, confidentiality, conflicts, all that. They may insist you carry PII (partly to indemnify them against an HMRC challenge) and if you take it out, it seems to come with legal advice so you could get the contract checked? Also, check you meet most of HMRC's criteria for self-employed status. Various professional associations offer advice and info on all this so you could see what is available in your field.
