I have LITERALLY no idea what stylish footwear is - I only know about comfy. Is it possible to have both?

Help?

I have a nice pair of sandals (bit wedgy, black).

But that's no good for February.

Lovely nice flat fashionable boots. Go with jeans and skirts.

Or when it warms up ballet pumps. Again go with everything , come in loads of colours and very comfy.

Fimbo · 09/03/2007 14:28

Bah Link doesn't work. It the same site as Mrs B but Wrangler Miami.

princessmel · 09/03/2007 14:31

Just read that you can't wear pumps

What do you normally wear in the spring??

princessmel · 09/03/2007 14:31

Miami=YUK!!!

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 14:32

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 14:33

damn, it didn't work!

They're the Yuna Ankle Strap

Cappuccino · 09/03/2007 14:36

ooh like all those expat

I was looking at these in a casual type way

(btw I hate ballet pumps. They are for midget silly feet. Also they are chilly)

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 14:38

I can't wear ballet pumps - my heels are too narrow.

princessmel · 09/03/2007 14:39

They are chilly at the mo. I wore mine yesterday and froze my toes off.

Then in summer they are a bit warm. Its better to have open toes. Good for spring though.

Not sure about either of those.

Fimbo · 09/03/2007 14:40

Those ones are ace Expat. I lurve Fly shoes.

The Wrangler Miami might work for narrow bony feet instead of a trainer. I have seen them in rl and they look better than the pic on that site. Also the red is minging.

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 14:43

I lust after them, Fimbo.

I've got some bits and bobs around the flat to sell and some birthday money from my folks so I can hopefully have them soon.

I'm only £20 from having them. Ooooo, YES!

yoyo · 09/03/2007 14:50

Does the shape of the sole make walking difficult in those Fly ones? I need a pair for the school run that also looks good.

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 14:55

I wouldn't think so, because it's a wedge.

I like wearing something with a heel, too.

It also seems to help the Achilles tendonitis in my right foot, which has been bad lately.

CODalmighty · 09/03/2007 15:31

i have narrow feet

CODalmighty · 09/03/2007 15:31

fly hsoe are too wide
dont do it

BODEN narrow

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 15:38

I have narrow feet and Fly's fit me fine.

danceswithaSPRINGinherstep · 09/03/2007 15:46

Expat - I WANT THOSE SHOES

pinkchampagne · 09/03/2007 15:57

My friend bought those black Fly shoes with the strap (level bar pump ones), last w/e in Qube & they were reduced down to £10!!

I have a nice pair of brown kitten heeled boots, which I bought in Oasis, and I live in them, they are so comfy & lots of people comment on them!

CODalmighty · 09/03/2007 15:59

then expat you haev fat feet

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 16:01

Nope, I have quite skinny feet.

I can't wear Schuh brand shoes because the heels are too wide. Can't wear ballet pumps for the same reason.

expatinscotland · 09/03/2007 16:01

I don't like Boden shoes. Too preppy for moi. Not enough street cred.

snowleopard · 09/03/2007 16:19

Now then ...

Trainers aren't that bad!

They're comfortable, hardwearing and good for your feet and you can get some really nice ones. OK, scruffy white trainers with everything's not a great look, but you can get very funky converse in great colours, and other makes like gola and rocket dog are nice too - you can get them at office and schuh.

I wear merrell trainers or calf-length choc brown low-heeled boots (go with skirts/jeans/anything) in winter, and lighter trainers or plimsolls (have a funky light green rocket dog pair) in spring, and birkenstocks in summer. You can get birkenstocks with a strap around the heel so they won't fly off - but even my slide-on ones never fly off thanks to the shaped sole. I have huge feet and never fit into proper girly shoes/heels, so for fancy occasions i either wear boots, or buy flat comfy sandals and decorate them with sequins or sew on mother-of-pearl buttons all over (a look I copied from the Toast catalogue!).

Blondilocks · 09/03/2007 16:26

How about some smarter trainers?

I've got some black skechers with flowery bits on so they are tidier than trainers, but as comfortable as trainers & the flowery bits make them a bit girly (plus they go with jeans!) They do loads of colours/designs.

Other than that I tend to wear flat boots.

This is for day to day & driving. For other occasions I like my big heels I'm afraid.
