Anyone had Botox or Fillers?

I'm 34 and I think my face is staring to look worn. Had anyone had the above procedures? I only want a tiny bit. Just to make me look more refreshed and less dull grey skin, with fine lines.

Ps. I've also had Elixis elite around my eyes to stimulate collegen production. This was before Botox so I got maximum effect! Really really good too. Pps. So easy to get addicted! Grin

I have my 11's done every six months, but I go to a medic not a beautician.

Mrs, see above, Botox won't improve dark/purple under eye circles! It is purely for smoothing out wrinkles like you said! You shouldn't need follow up after.

SingSong - either £250 or £350 is good for tear trough fillers esp from a doctor! Just make sure there are some testimonials either on website or at their clinic before you go ahead.

MrsT- it helps by butting a layer between the skin and the dark bit so they aren't as visible. After it's settled people just think I have had a good nights sleep or done makeup different (when actually I don't have any on). I thought about it for years before plucking up the courage! Definetly worth it!

Thanks all. Some real positive experiences. Some people hear Botox and think TOWIE.

Thanks Bingy - I'll take a look. I know Wilmslow/Cheshire well.

North West here - you'd be looking between £300-£400 for TTs.
Tear trough fillers are virtually pain free, you look a little lumpy for a few days but otherwise fine.
They are only any good for people with an actual trough and dark circles, if you have bags Wink it can exacerbate the issue further. Another option (but your practitioner will assess this) is cheek filler. Once we start losing volume in the mid section of the face, it can make the hollows appear far worse.
Botox helps around the eye, and in certain clients-under the eye area (if the skin is viable)
Please please go to someone medically qualified, it's not only knowing how to perform the procedure, it's also knowing about avoiding the danger areas, and knowing what to do if there is a problem.

Summer - if you decide to go to Dr Nyla let me know how you get on! Grin

Feral - I didn't have actual troughs as such but just dark circles and TT still had a significant affect in improving the darkness! Smile

Thanks Feral, yes I will definitely go to a doctor. I wouldn't take the risk elsewhere.
Yes I don't have bags as such, note shadows and a tiny bit sunken. I'll have a good look round. I do want to do it. I just know I'll feel so much confident.

Anyone got any recommendations for tear trough practitioners in London? I really want to get it done. Mine are genetic and i've always had them, but getting deeper and more ingrained as i get older it seems Sad

SingSong - as a layperson, tear trough fillers would work fantastically for you! Smile

Thanks Bingy. The Dr does a free consultation so I think I might go, could get my 11's done at the same time.

I have Botox between my eyebrows and above them to lift slightly, it makes me look 5 years younger and a lot less stressed than I am! I tried in the rest of my forehead once but it made my eyebrows heavy and just made me feel frozen, now everything moves but I look rested. I love it but it took me 2 years or so to decide to go for it, I think it's good to be totally sure you want to as it might become a regular thing!

Do a search for Real Self website. Very good & loads of pictures. I have Botox every 8 months or so, been having it for about 8 years. No disasters although I had a slightly raised brow last week, but sorted out in minutes in the (free) follow up.
Had my first lip filler too! Love the plumpness, but needs time to settle & may need a tiny bit more on one side. I'm over 50 & told I look much, much younger. I'm not 'frozen' it's very natural & my nurse practitioner is very, very professional & experienced.

Singsong 👍
But you may also benefit from a touch of cheek revolumisation, ask your practitioner about something called Ellanse, it's very subtle but lovely and lasts a couple of years too.
Remember you've got Doctors, but also nurses and dentists who are often more experienced in aesthetics.
We are all professionally registered and are far more accountable than someone who was a beautician until they did a one day injectables course.
As long as you do your homework you'll be just fine. Keep it subtle, I am constantly sending people away with skincare advice as they simply don't need procedures. Less is always more...

Bingy which filler does dr Nyla use?
Feral could you tell me more about Ellanse please? I've had sculptra before and loved the effects, Ellanse seems to be similar?

Thanks Bingy, always like to go with real recommendations rather than who pays the most for google results!
