I've tried PawPaw cream, Clarins lip oil, vaseline, neutrogena stick thing and the flipping things are STILL dry. Is there anything that absolutely works for very dehydrated lips please? I can't use things like Carmex as I'm allergic to them. It's not a deficiency as my iron/thyroid are fine and I take multi vits and iron supplements from GP.
TIA

Blisteze is amazing, the relief when you put it on!!

anyname123 · 06/12/2016 20:31

Lysine lip salve from Hollandaise and Barrat, it's bloody amazing and prevents coldsores too, if you're prone to them

bingohandjob · 06/12/2016 20:31

Lanolin - I put it on at night and it works brilliantly.

BagelGoesWalking · 06/12/2016 20:32

Sorry, those links and text got messed up.

suneetacosmetics.co.uk is the right web address. The Pure Potions one should be ok.

LaCerbiatta · 06/12/2016 20:33

Drink more water! :)
And then use 8 hour create.

LaCerbiatta · 06/12/2016 20:33

Or even better 8 hour cream!

Laineymc7 · 06/12/2016 20:35

8 hour cream is amazing it's the only thing that works for mine.

BagelGoesWalking · 06/12/2016 20:35

Hollandaise and Barrat** Great autocorrect Grin

dailymaillazyjournos · 06/12/2016 20:39

I'm googling my way through all these thanks. I drink gallons of water as have to to keep UTI's at bay. Must have between 2 to 3 litres a day so def not dehydrated I don't think.

I have the same issue op and the blistex relief cream is the best I've found!

MopedManiac · 06/12/2016 20:41

Carmex is brilliant.

And this stuff is just awesome: www.amazon.co.uk/Lucas-Papaw-Ointment-25g-Tube/dp/B00F1C0Q6A

dailymaillazyjournos · 06/12/2016 20:59

Moped I'm allergic to Carmex and have tried Lucas's Paw Paw and it doesn't sort them out :( Thanks for suggestions though.

No OP don't get nuxe it's shit and will make your lips feel like you haven't been drinking enough water (it's dry and really difficult to spread)

I've got really dry lips and what works to keep them soft is
Lipfusion xl (this is also a plumping gloss but it works really well overnight)
Arden 8 hour lip balm stick thing - this also heals cracks overnight
Palmers solid cocoa butter followed by Vaseline on top - this also heals cracks overnight

dailymaillazyjournos · 06/12/2016 22:23

Thanks Mowglik

Don't listen to anything else.
Blistex relief cream. Honestly it's magical. Smother your lips at night with it. It's medicated and honestly the only lip balm that heals cracks and deeply moisturises.
It's mega cheap too, in the little metal tube. Must be The relief cream.

itsbetterthanabox · 06/12/2016 22:29

Someone said bliteze up thread. That's what Blistex relief cream used to be called.

Ilovetorrentialrain · 06/12/2016 22:30

Another vote for Blistex. It's the big guns if you need to sort out properly dry lips and like a PP said, the relief!

Interedting comments re Nuxe. I bought some this week and so much wanted it to be good; great website, free delivery, gorgeous packaging. The lip balm just dries my lips out like nothing I've known!

fusspot66 · 06/12/2016 22:33

Go.for Blister
It's the business

fusspot66 · 06/12/2016 22:33

Blistex! !!!

Daytona79 · 06/12/2016 22:33

Vics vapour rub is amazing
Everyone think no that can't work but honestly stick it on before bed and u will wake up with nice lips
A make up artist told me this tip and it works a treat

bibbitybobbityyhat · 06/12/2016 22:39

Allergic to Carmex? which ingredient? I am sure Blistex and Carmex share quite a few.

febmum2b · 06/12/2016 22:39

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. Helps mine after one application - and a little goes a long way.

CaptainWarbeck · 06/12/2016 22:50

King of moisturised lips: Aquaphor. Like a pp said, dermatologists advise it for people on roaccutane which dries everything out. You can get it on Amazon in little lip tubes quite cheap, or else I just use the big tubes for babies and keep it by my bed for night time application. Only thing that really works if your lips are bad Smile

dailymaillazyjournos · 06/12/2016 23:00

Captain thanks. I can't seem to use anything with menthol in. Makes the top layer of my lips peel off. And I can only use Sensodyne toothpaste as everything else also makes my lips peel! Aquaphor sounds v gentle.

If I use toothpaste containing SLS my lips start peeling after a few days. Once I switched my toothpaste my lips improved.
