Would you buy second hand make up?

I have about half a dozen bottles of foundation that have been sampled once or twice and never touched again because they don't agree with my sensitive skin.

I want to try selling them on eBay but do people buy second hand make up? Would you? It seems a huge waste to throw them out but I just can't use them.

I've discovered that mineral powder works best with my temperamental face

I'd happily buy a pump dispensed product on ebay - I mean it's not had brushes dipped in it or anything. I think some of the reactions on here are a bit hysterical - how is a pump dispensed foundation any different to sharing say hand soap which is pump dispensed.

Obviously things like mascara/lipstick are different.

No. And more disturbed that someone would happily buy secondhand lingerie.

You can wash second hand lingerie.

They sale loads of used make up eBay, it's stated as new but in the description the seller clearly stated that eBay doesn't allow them to sale it used, and that it is in fact USED.

I once became embroiled in an argument with someone in a Facebook group (and subsequently banned) because they were trying to swap a stick concealer that had been heavily used and not sterilised. (Beauty So Clean is a sterilising product specifically for make-up. I have the spray bottle.) She said that the product was an acceptable swap item since it was her maid who used it, with a brush. She didn't comprehend that it wasn't hygienic, since the product was now inundated with dead skin cells and bacteria from the make up brush.

Because you don't know how out of date the product is. Is a foundation that was bought two years ago and past its 12 month expiry date ok as long as it is in a sealed bottle?
