I've just sneaked at my Christmas Present & he's got me the wrong colour!

It's very expensive, hes bought it online, should I confess now and hopefully get the right colour?

Or do I act surprised Christmas Day and suck it up?

It's not an awful colour, in fact it's very similar, however he's chosen a cooler tone and I'd have loved the warmer tone.

It's something I've lusted after for ages and I never get a present he buys without my input so I'm very proud of him.

I need to suck it up don't I?

This reminds me of someone I met who found her Christmas present hidden away. She took it back, changed it for something else and put it back where she'd found it.

I was waiting for .... He'd given it to his mistress .... But heho!!

Sorry cross posted.

Thank you Ilove

Craic that's exactly how I feel, that much money and I want to love it and use it everyday, I've never owned a naice handbag or anything that price as an accessory. Great idea though I think your right, I have to speak up very tactfully and gratefully and then go and choose a different shade with him. Thank you

For what it's worth, I think the one he's bought is nicer. I think you should sleep on it and see if it grows on you.

My sil got a present from my brother on Christmas Day that was the wrong colour. Instead of being gracious about it, she moaned that it was all wrong and he'd have to change it as it simply wouldn't match the kitchen.

I'll never forget the look of disappointment on his face. She's v high maintenance and he'd tried so hard. Was a bit shit really.

I think you should suck it up, especially if the colour is only a few shades out.

kittybiscuits · 22/11/2016 23:42

Was it a tea towel?

OhGiveOver · 22/11/2016 23:43

Ah no I'd hate to upset him, especially over something as silly as a bag. I think I'll get it out properly tomorrow and set my mind on it. It is only a few shades you're right, nobody else will even notice.

There's a blush one on the Narvey Hicks web site. It's lovely.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/11/2016 23:48

I much prefer the one he bought you the other one is a bit... dunno, but the one he got is more expensive and classy looking.

PickAChew · 22/11/2016 23:59

Wow! It certainly is pricey!
Be thankful he bought you something easy and neutral, rather than the emerald green!

LoreleiGilmorethesecond · 23/11/2016 12:02

I think I would book the day off work, swap it and put it back before he can notice it's gone.

He will be disappointed he picked the wrong colour and it will take the joy out of it.

It's too expensive to have the wrong shade.
