I am having my haircut tomorrow and can't decide whether to get it cut into a pixie cut or not.
I have had one before and liked it but got bored quickly, but it was shorter than I am thinking of tomorrow.
So the first picture is me (sans make up etc.) the second is the kind of thing I am thinking of. If I don't get it done like that then I will grow it out into a bob. Which probably means something like the third picture tomorrow.
Am also thinking of going blonde.
Any ideas or suggestions welcome. I have no idea what do to with my hair any more!
TIA.
Ps my hair is reasonably thin, half curly, half straight, and I need a fringe!

really suits you, you don't need to straighten it its fine, but agree use some wax, rub a tiny bit in your hands then put lightly thru your hair so its tousled/more messy as bluesky said. x I've had my hair like this for years and would never go back to long hair.

polyhymnia · 11/11/2016 15:12

Yes, you need to make it more 'piecey' like the JL one, with a bit of product.

It looks great!

knackeredpelvicfloor · 11/11/2016 15:15

Lovely haircut! Really suits you!

hmcAsWas · 11/11/2016 15:18

Haircut is very much an improvement. Colour is nice too - but it would have been better from a practical perspective to have blonde highlights rather than a block colour (less issue with roots and maintenance)

zippyswife · 11/11/2016 15:18

You have a beautiful face. The cut is lovely and natural on you.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 11/11/2016 15:29

i use Dust It or similar for some oomph, but recently have discovered dry shampoo is good for a bit of body and control

the new do looks lovely! :D Hope everyone has noticed and oooohed and ahhhed appropriately!

SnakeWitch · 11/11/2016 15:34

That looks fab. I'm jealous - I went to the hairdressers a couple of weeks ago wanting something similar but she said it was really drastic as my hair was long, so she gave me a bob just like my MIL's Confused

welliesandsequins · 11/11/2016 15:55

Thank you all. Really not sure about colour (it isn't as nice as in pic) but think it will settle.
Have bought some 'separater' wax so need to practice with that. Totally agree about it needing to to be messier and piecier.
Would have gone for highlights but funds won't stretch to it. May do that next time. Will have to see how it goes.
Thank you for all your lovely messages BlushSmile

Looks great and actually quite a versatile cut as you can play around with your parting, use irons on it, slick it to one side. I think it looks lovely and natural as it is. Smile

If you use irons on it, clamp the top sections and pull up vertically, curving very slightly. That will give you loads of root lift and volume.

As a fellow blonde, I really recommend using a purple toning shampoo to keep the colour fresh and to prevent any brassiness. Lee Stafford has a good range in Boots. Welcome to the blonde side!

BusterGonad · 11/11/2016 16:44

Snake why did you let the hairdresser tell you want you were having??? You were paying them! Hmm

BusterGonad · 11/11/2016 16:44

Lovely cut and colour OP

Gatekeeper · 11/11/2016 16:48

Bingybongybashy · 11/11/2016 18:58

You look fabulous! Really really suits you! I've had virtually same sort of hair cut for 30+ years so well done on going for the chop!!

That looks really lovely, you're very pretty OP!
I'm growing out a pixie cut but the best product I found for styling my hair when it was short was TIGI Bedhead Manipulator. I only ever needed to use a small amount but it held the style really well.

LynetteScavo · 11/11/2016 19:06

You have so made the right decision- it really suits youSmile

More people should do this!

You could also go red or brown and look great.

The style and colour look great.

SnakeWitch · 11/11/2016 20:20

Buster I think her intentions were good as it was quite drastic, and I decided to err on the side of caution and go with what she suggested. I didn't think it was too bad at first, until I realised it was similar to my MIL's cut!

welliesandsequins · 11/11/2016 21:30

Ikea have a look on Pinterest, there are lots of lovely pixie cuts on there for curly hair. Smile

Your hair looks so lovely OP, it really suits you! And I actually really like the colour

MurunB · 12/11/2016 08:52

Was going to tell you to go for the JL as I thought it would look lovely on you. I see you already have, and I was totally right!
