I don't understand what you mean by you'd like the most expensive looking ones but I prefer the chelsea boots - why don't you let her pick the colour?

Well....I''d like the ones that look the most expensive. I'm unsure how to explain what that means - the dearest looking ones.

Sometimes buying from the internet can be misleading. I recently bought a pair from M&S and they look shoddy and very very cheap. They are less than a month old but they are ready for the bin.

That is good to hear. I was a little worried when a PP advised me to let her choose herself. :) If it had the face of an animal she'd take an interest but a boot - no way.

My DD is the same, she was 5 last week. She will only wear jogging bottoms or shorts on her lower half. Culottes for school uniform. Other than that, no interest.

I like the teal too. My DD (4) would go nuts for them. She is obsessed with shoes and clothes. Not in a horrible way but in a strange fashion/style way. She picks dress patterns and specifically asked for a trench coat in the spring.

I actually like the Teal best too, but said purple because I thought it would be easier to coordinate with. But then, i wear a lot of purple.

Dd had those purple ones - no 2. They were brilliant- wore well, skuffs polished out well with the neutral shoes polish cream stuff and went with everything. I think I sold them on eBay for about £15 once she out grew them!

Love the purple, love coloured boots on little girls so all your choices were good but the purple followed by the teal are fab.

I ordered the teal ones for my 5yo last night. She had purple ones 2 winters ago and they lasted until earlier this year so she was due new ones. Free postage too. I'd love a pair in my size too . Next had some nice tan leather ones but they're sold out in the right size and price-wise they're not much cheaper than Start-rite.

Thanks again. I ordered the first pair last night and just received the email confirming they are on the way. I'm happy to read any scuffs can be polished out as I was so disappointed by the M&S ones.

I looked at the brown Next ones last week and wonder if they are the same as the ones referred by a PP. I liked the colour but they looked a little plastic to me. I also figure she will wear brown colour boots for long enough when she is older so I may as well enjoy colour on her at this age.

Mine (or rather DD's) are on their way too . I'm hoping there won't be any scratches to polish out on patent. The ones we had previously were plain leather and did get a bit scuffed but that was easily covered with purple shoe-polish.

Hi Mejon - just wondering what you thought of the boots? Ours arrived but I think I will have to return. They are too big, too wide and I think they may gape at the ankle too much to wear with skirts and dresses. They look a little like cut off wellies. DD has ridiculously narrow feet and legs so I am unsure if that is the problem rather than the boots. What did you think of them?

My dd has the purple ones. I found them true to size and look lovely. My only gripes are that the zip often works it's way down and that they're too short to wear jeggings/leggings with. They look adorable with tights though.

Hi Snow. - interesting to read the zip works itself down. Do your DD's boots have a little velco strip at the top of the zip. I'm wondering if they have perhaps added this as a preventative measure to solve your problem or if it still happens?
