any by lush are v good. must be as dh has nicked all mine

cremolafoam · 07/02/2007 09:31

v expensive- Dr hauschka's Rose day cream
q expensive- Clinique Dramatically Different
not too bad- Palmer's Cocoa Butter
cheap as chips- E45

Aufish · 07/02/2007 10:15

I find the simple regeneration day and night cream extremely good for dry patches on my face. It just seems to sink into my face and doesn't leave that heavy feeling that some moisturisers leave behind.

Fillyjonk · 07/02/2007 10:17

actually, for overnight, and seriously dry patches, vaseline works really well, I find

bung it on in the evening and your skin will be about 300x better in the morning

day to day I use dr hauska, but only cos it smells nice and my mum likes to give it to me (she is lovely)

Fillyjonk · 07/02/2007 10:17

AND dr haskua, I do find is quite economical compared to, say, nivea

suzycreamcheese · 07/02/2007 10:19

ren they have website
sort of pricey but works, feels clean very nice
dry skin one is good i use it

agree w/ cremolafoam like dr hauschkas stuff
clinique have gone off..
e45 yes

are you near a spacenk? treat yourself there will baba sleeps...you deserve it!

multitasker · 07/02/2007 10:30

Astral as a night cream - I wake up glowing. And its very economical - a tub lasts months.

JackieNo · 07/02/2007 10:32

And a bit of gentle exfoliation might help too - but it has to be gentle.

NbgsYellowFeathers · 07/02/2007 10:33

I love Guinots moisturiser. They're normally about £20+ but they are good.
Am currently sampling a £100 one they sell.
Needless to say I shan't be buying it But it is very good.

foxinsocks · 07/02/2007 10:34

I find that Vaseline intensive stuff in the coloured bottles (I normally use the yellow one) is very good.

For dry patches, get a tube of eumovate from the chemist (and use it just on those patches because it's a thick emollient but not too greasy).

amynnixmum · 07/02/2007 10:35

kittypickle makes a fab one but unfortunately it won't be on sale for a while yet. Apparently rosehip oil is good. Have a look here

Iklboo · 07/02/2007 10:36

Astral. I swear by it

TeeCee · 07/02/2007 10:42

In the past I have used and found to be very very good:

Origins - Have a Nice Day moisturiser

Aveda - Botanical Kinetics

M&S Formila Age Defence Revitilising Radiance Lotion

JackieNo · 07/02/2007 10:48

Or Liz Earle stuff is lovely.

paulaplumpbottom · 07/02/2007 10:48

creme de la mere. Its expensive and its worth it.

Budababe · 07/02/2007 11:06

Currently using Liz Earle and liking it - about to order more.

paulaplumpbottom - 2 friends of mine used Creme de la Mer and didn't rate it at all.

Agree that Dr Hauschka is good.

EnidLloydFoxe · 07/02/2007 11:09

have tried all

Olay total effects is very very good (but has rather, ahen, cheap smell)

TooTicky · 07/02/2007 11:50

Another vote for Lush here. I really like Afterlife.
(And lots of the big companies, like Olay, test on animals, not to mention using lots of horrid chemicals which are no good for your skin anyway.)

Ceolas · 07/02/2007 11:52

I think it really depends on your skin. Some swear by moisturisers which are no use to others. Currently using Liz Earle's Skin Repair Light which seems to be doing the job.

EnidLloydFoxe · 07/02/2007 11:53

lush are great if you are a student or teenager

oliveoil · 07/02/2007 11:54

I got a Clinique one 'free' in one of their gift things and it is vvvvvvv good.

Emergency Moisturiser Cream or something, will try and link

CountessDracula · 07/02/2007 12:00

Vaseline intensive care lotion

I have tried loads of expensive ones and always come back to this it is £2 or something!

CountessDracula · 07/02/2007 12:02

I think it is called dermacare

I have sensitive dry skin

uwila · 07/02/2007 12:02

Eucerin

MuffinTumMum · 07/02/2007 12:02

Hi, I recently bought Liz Earle cleanser/toner and moisturiser (about 35 quid including postage) - fantastic stuff, cant reccommend it highly enough!
