Another wedding outfit help one, will any of these do? (Pics)

I don't really want to have to buy something new (well, I do, but I can't really afford it) so will any of these suffice?

It's a marquee country wedding and it's been described as 'a festival rather than a wedding' and specified as not black tie. The groom will be wearing tweed. DP and his brother will both be in navy suits as its all they've got, and BIL's girlfriend will be wearing a mid length cream dress she's just worn as a BM, so quite dressy. Others are going more casual. I really wanted to wear a midi tulle skirt but again, money.

Definitely get a tight fitting top though.

Twinklestar2 · 12/07/2016 14:37

I like the 4th one! Where is it from?

fuckingfendt · 12/07/2016 14:40

It's from Asos twinkle they had it in a coral/peach colour too I think.

Stacking bracelets are a good idea. Wedge heels if it's a field.

fuckingfendt · 12/07/2016 14:50

Bugger, I didn't think of that. I haven't got any wedges. I've got a block heel pair but I thought they'd be too clumpy with the skirt

Block heels are very this season, so they could work!

fuckingfendt · 12/07/2016 14:53

If anybody spots any nice tight fitting camis, do send the links this way

I'll try and get a picture of them nilby hold on

The strappy one were the original choice and the other is the block heel

I prefer the other one, the thick nude straps.

This camisole is pricey but lovely www.jigsaw-online.com/product/silk-camisole/J28925_BL010?gclid=CjwKEAjwqpK8BRD7ua-U0orrgkESJADlN3YB563sqXIEhZ-uAH47OXBLn3PwV73JN97Ygnj4GEMvnRoChO7w_wcB

H & M are good for plain vests and camisoles (and cheap)

fuckingfendt · 12/07/2016 15:19

I've just found one on New Look for a fiver which I've ordered to try. Got a few months yet if it's no good

fuckingfendt · 14/07/2016 19:52

Whoops, I've just ordered this skirt. So much for not buying anything new.

Found out yesterday that groom and ushers etc aren't wearing tweed suits after all, but a tweed blazer with navy chinos. DP's sister is wearing a plain, loose dress. I've panicked I'll be too dressed up so bought this to go with New Look cami.... I may be back when it arrives with a picture for you to critique.

The gold/green pleated skirt is very pretty and more in tune with a country marquee wedding.
The 4th dress is lovely but a bit too formal I think, you are already saying you wouldn't be able to eat much if you wore it! So wear the skirt and have fun and enjoy yourself, also the skirt might be more comfortable for dancing in.
The burgundy dresses are too wintry for a summer wedding.

GingerLDN · 15/07/2016 01:24

I'd wear the skirt with a tighter cami, stacking bracelet or rings and boho style hair/side plait with flowers. Might even wear with nice sandals if its festival style. PS I love the burgundy 2nd one wish I had a figure like that to wear it!

fuckingfendt · 15/07/2016 07:36

Don't be fooled Ginger - I'm all out of proportion length wise so the second burgundy has had to be sewn to fit.

I definitely would rather be comfy than stiff (and starving).

I'll try both skirts with the new cami when it arrives and see what we think. My hair always looks like I've been at a festival for three days so at least I'll fit the theme with that Grin

I love the skirt and fitted top. Don't know what number it is . The other one needs to be consigned to the clothes I do housework in drawer as it does nothing for your absolutely stunning figure.

I also like both dresses but agree you might be too warm in long sleeves and too dressy if everyone else looks like they are glam ping.

However, I wear what I feel good in ( and what fits) so if you feel sensational in the close fitting dress I'd wear that.
If you can't dress up at a wedding when can you.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/07/2016 12:10

I love your new skirt. That has summer festival wedding written all over it. Smile
Don't like the boots she's wearing though. I suppose they're trying to make it look more 'edgy'.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/07/2016 12:23

I'm not sure tweed jackets and chinos screams festival to me, more sort of farmer-chic, but as long as they're happy Grin

fuckingfendt · 15/07/2016 14:11

Grin Grin They are farmers if that makes it slightly more acceptable!

I won't be trying the edgy look, not to worry. But it will go with my muddy wellies, right? Wink

Dowser I agree it does nothing for me having a baggy top on. I have a bit of a complex that I'm too skinny so often try to 'bulk out' with clothes - it clearly does not work!

Allalonenow · 15/07/2016 16:53

Oh yes! That floral skirt is perfect! You will be the belle of the ball!

fuckingfendt · 15/07/2016 18:38

As soon as I saw it I thought 'festival wedding' - well, almost. I thought at least I'd be able to dress it down for day time and get the wear out of it.
