Can anyone give me hope that my post-breastfeeding boobs will 'reinflate'?

Am feeling very unattractive. Post baby my figure has changed loads. I'm the same weight, but my bum is bigger (WTF?) and my boobs are tiny empty pouches. I can handle the big bum, but is it true that my boobs may fill out a bit? I stopped feeding in February. If not, I may have to consider a boob job!

Mine look better i had flat nipples before but they feel so empty and soft

BabyGanoush · 10/05/2016 22:29

Superfunky, I was also given killer cellulite and veins on my legs as part if the package deal Sad

Thanks for all your replies - you've given me hope! Still, better start saving just in case Wink

Mine didn't but they definitely improved a bit from their lowest ebb. However I was quite pleased they were a bit smaller overall as i found clothesfitted better. They're a good few inches lower than they were though thanks to ds1 having the worst tugging latch ever.

donajimena · 10/05/2016 23:43

I was a B cup. Went up to an E cup and when I stopped they went soft and floppy. They are fine now back to a reasonably pert B.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 10/05/2016 23:48

Yep mine did, three times. Takes about a year though.

Runningupthathill82 · 11/05/2016 05:17

Mine were empty and saggy for two years, then reinflated when pregnant with DC2. They're now lower and saggier than ever.

retainertrainer · 11/05/2016 06:37

Mine did. I bf for 18 months and they looked like spaniels ears by the end of it. They've plumped up nicely now despite me losing weight. I can still stretch the skin on them and they're no where near as pert as the user to be but I'm very happy with them

retainertrainer · 11/05/2016 06:38

they went from B to DD back to B again.

Fraggled · 11/05/2016 06:51

This thread has given me hope!

SouthDownsSunshine · 11/05/2016 07:05

Yes mine did. Took about a year (and a bit of weight gain, sorry).

I remember the lows of them being like pancakes that flapped :(

Now I'm pregnant again they're huge again. Like they're already full of milk.

soggyweetabix · 11/05/2016 07:13

Nope. Had precious little anyway and had even less afterwards.

MsAtomicBomb · 11/05/2016 11:29

I stopped breastfeeding in January. Started as an E cup, went up to a FF while pregnant/breastfeeding and now I'm a C. I love having smaller boobs though as I'm very petite (size 6/8) and big boobs didn't suit my frame at all. In fact I'm a bit worried after reading this thread that they'll get bigger again - I've just been measured for and ordered a wedding dress so really hope they don't or it won't fit!

underrugsswept · 11/05/2016 11:35

Mine didn't reappear I'm afraid.

BestBeforeDate · 11/05/2016 12:11

Yep, mine recovered fine. I breastfed my two for a year or so each, but can't remember when I got back to 'normal'.
I have to say that, at 61, my boobs are now my best feature as they are still firm, with no sagging. I put it down to a good diet, plenty of yoga and pilates, and a hefty dose of good luck!

MardleBum · 11/05/2016 12:15

No.

Bear2014 · 11/05/2016 12:17

Mine did after a few months, and I fed for 22 months. The rest of my body however...

leedy · 11/05/2016 12:39

Mine never went down after breastfeeding #1 (still BF #2 though only once or twice a day) but they're definitely a bit lower/softer. I suspect that might be age and the ravages of gravity rather than BF in particular, though.

My mum was the same, so it's possibly genetic?

lottielou7 · 11/05/2016 12:40

Mine didn't so I had a boob job.

VagueIdeas · 11/05/2016 12:42

I didn't breastfeed and mine are emptier, lower and saggier Sad

DataColour · 11/05/2016 12:42

Mine didn't reappear. I'm glad because my boobs were too big for my small frame before and now they are more in proportion and I can wear many more types of tops now. They are not pert though which is sad.

GrouchyKiwi · 11/05/2016 12:58

Well this thread is encouraging. I'm due with DC3 right now so breasts are fairly massive, but before pregnancy they were floppy and soft. So hopefully they'll at least go back to normal after I finish BFing this one.

My mother's went up a few cup sizes once she had finished feeding all seven of us. So maybe that's the answer. Wink

squizita · 11/05/2016 12:58

Thank you people who have said they BF for a while and they came back.

I'm at the tail end of some almost-natural-term BF and my former DDs are small, floppy C cups. Mind you I'm also thin as a rake...

Fingers crossed in a year or two I'm moaning about button-gap again.

I'm so bloody shallow. Grin

Also for the record: breasts ARE attractive in most cultures across time. However in most they are attractive because they scream "hey look at me, I can feed ALL YOUR LITTLE SPERM BABIES!!" - in modern society they have become fetishised and separated from feeding.
There is therefore NO conflict of interest between being a bit of a lactivist and wanting your big boobies back. In fact I'd now feel i'd really worked up the authority to show my cleavage, as it would be a mighty baby feeding cleavage. Grin

bigbuttons · 11/05/2016 15:05

And for those of us who stayed smaller and empty feeling? No thank you for us?

bigbuttons · 11/05/2016 15:07

grouch I fed 6 babies. I don't think there's any correlation, just luckWink
