Can anyone give me hope that my post-breastfeeding boobs will 'reinflate'?

Am feeling very unattractive. Post baby my figure has changed loads. I'm the same weight, but my bum is bigger (WTF?) and my boobs are tiny empty pouches. I can handle the big bum, but is it true that my boobs may fill out a bit? I stopped feeding in February. If not, I may have to consider a boob job!

Mine never went down (went from a c/d cup to a g). They are ridiculous and I hate them.

I only breastfed for a few weeks with both of my DC and mine are awful! Have never had big boobs but always had nice pert little handfuls and really liked my boobs. After two kids they are now tiny little sacks of nothing. Completely empty. Not droopy as too small for that! My frame is skinnier after children though so that doesn't help. Can't afford boob job (and when I think about it rationally I wouldn't want one). Still never let DH see them anymore though and we're off on holiday in a few weeks and am dreading getting in a bikini!

I found it took a while (6-12 months) and not quite as firm as before but not dramatically different. Pinning my hopes on this Nip/Fab cream that a colleague just reviewed and reckons really works... www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk/parent-concierge/2016/05/12/beauty-buy-month/

Mine took about a year but filled back out and ended up 3 cup sizes bigger than before I was pregnant. I was very flat chested before so I'm now ridiculously pleased with them.

Mine got bigger with BF, then stayed bigger but floppier, so I went up a cup size. Or two. OK in a bra for figure/ clothes. Perfectly comfy and lovely without on a Sunday or at night. I now take a J cup.

Interested in this as I've been either pregnant or breastfeeding or both since about 2008!

Wondering how they'll end up once last baby stops feeding. Grin

Pre DC I was a size 12 and a B cup. After breastfeeding 2 DCs for 6 months each, I am size 14 and a C cup. They are not quite as firm and perky. I used to pass the pencil test. I am very happy with them and definitely don't need a refill. I think I'm just lucky with my skin type. Just like some get stretch marks and others don't.

I think whether you bf or not, if they get stretched by getting engorged, they have the potential to sag a bit after.

Mine came back. Took a while though. I bf dd2 for 18 months. It is good to see them again!

I didn't breastfeed, nor did my mum or sister. Our boobs got huge and stayed huge and perky.

(this is not a dig at BFing by the way, just suggesting it might have something to do with boob shape?)

grouch I fed 6 babies. I don't think there's any correlation, just luckWink

And for those of us who stayed smaller and empty feeling? No thank you for us?

Thank you people who have said they BF for a while and they came back.

I'm at the tail end of some almost-natural-term BF and my former DDs are small, floppy C cups. Mind you I'm also thin as a rake...

Fingers crossed in a year or two I'm moaning about button-gap again.

I'm so bloody shallow. Grin

Also for the record: breasts ARE attractive in most cultures across time. However in most they are attractive because they scream "hey look at me, I can feed ALL YOUR LITTLE SPERM BABIES!!" - in modern society they have become fetishised and separated from feeding.
There is therefore NO conflict of interest between being a bit of a lactivist and wanting your big boobies back. In fact I'd now feel i'd really worked up the authority to show my cleavage, as it would be a mighty baby feeding cleavage. Grin

Well this thread is encouraging. I'm due with DC3 right now so breasts are fairly massive, but before pregnancy they were floppy and soft. So hopefully they'll at least go back to normal after I finish BFing this one.

My mother's went up a few cup sizes once she had finished feeding all seven of us. So maybe that's the answer. Wink

I didn't breastfeed and mine are emptier, lower and saggier Sad

Mine didn't reappear. I'm glad because my boobs were too big for my small frame before and now they are more in proportion and I can wear many more types of tops now. They are not pert though which is sad.

Mine didn't so I had a boob job.

Mine never went down after breastfeeding #1 (still BF #2 though only once or twice a day) but they're definitely a bit lower/softer. I suspect that might be age and the ravages of gravity rather than BF in particular, though.

My mum was the same, so it's possibly genetic?

Mine did after a few months, and I fed for 22 months. The rest of my body however...

Yep, mine recovered fine. I breastfed my two for a year or so each, but can't remember when I got back to 'normal'.
I have to say that, at 61, my boobs are now my best feature as they are still firm, with no sagging. I put it down to a good diet, plenty of yoga and pilates, and a hefty dose of good luck!

I stopped breastfeeding in January. Started as an E cup, went up to a FF while pregnant/breastfeeding and now I'm a C. I love having smaller boobs though as I'm very petite (size 6/8) and big boobs didn't suit my frame at all. In fact I'm a bit worried after reading this thread that they'll get bigger again - I've just been measured for and ordered a wedding dress so really hope they don't or it won't fit!
