What do you wear on your feet at this in-between time of year?

I've found my feet are starting to get hot in boots but it's too early to get the flip flops out.

I wear Converse a lot of the time but need another alternative, preferably something comfy to walk in. I was thinking about some lighter trainers eg Nike Roshe or Tavas but suspect they'll also be a bit warm.

I notice the shops are full of loafers and moccasins which would be ideal but sadly I can't stand them. I guess there's always ballet pumps but I find they often rub when worn without socks.

Purple honesty - I too am on my feet all day, my family's restaurant. I have didn't X small fortune on work shoes over thus ends past few years. In winter I have some low heeled Ecco courts, but they're completely wrong with bare legs. I've now got Fly yuna which are pretty good, but the best with bare feet are my Lotta 'nice to work in' clogs. My sister hates them, but they're really comfy and I get loads of compliments too.

Ballet pumps! I have some stripy ones in all colours (not as hideous as they sound) which are hitting the spot at the moment - lots of compliments on them (though of course that could be down to horrified fascination). Oh well!

I wore my Birkies yesterday, for work I wear ballet flats and have Vans for off work/dress down.

I only ever wear socks with boots though as I don't wear anything that covers the tops of trainers or ballets.

I'd love Toms but my feet are too wide.
