What look do you love? What look do you hate?

I LOVE to see people who look effortlessly stylish in layers and beautifully cut clothes. (I am not like that BTW, no matter how I try).

I HATE clumpy shoes, especially peep toe boots which I just can't ever see myself liking.

What are your fashion yays and nays?

Love preppy, tomboy chic, European classic of neutral, great cuts and quality.

Absolutely bloody loathe prom/tea dresses, clumpy shoes, Towie and body con

i like granny chic[am a granny! and boho/hippy -but not too much. Also like layering with a touch of Lagen look, but not too long or voluminous. And love '40s clothes.
Do not like any clothes that a man cd wear such as worn by the male models who are in women's fashion shows .

WhatamessIgotinto · 04/02/2016 07:12

Forgot to mention Disney prints worn by adults. Will never get my head round that one.

I also hate the TOWIE/Kim Kardashian type look. This won't be popular but I don't like tan or camel colours either, I think they are very ageing and dull.
I like something a bit quirky and not too smart/formal.

I like any distinctive 'signature look', whether it's Katharine Hepburn, Patti Smith, or Grandma Giles. But I'm far too fickle to do that myself. Right now I love a very fitted tube/pencil skirt with an oversized V-neck but I can feel myself starting to get bored with it. I also like an androgynous look but I'm getting curvier with age so not sure I can pull it off any more.

I don't really hate any look as such - I think any style can look good on the right body shape. But I'm bored rigid with skinnies and I'm not a fan of neutrals or the so-called 'expensive look' - except on Grace Kelly.

I have always struggled with polo neck with either short sleeves or sleeveless. If it's cold enough to wear a polo neck then sleeves are compulsory. Equally if it's warm enough to go sleeve less can you imagine wanting to wear a polo neck. It really confuses me Grin

LadyPriggsbottom · 04/02/2016 07:52

poly YY! That always strikes me as strange too.

I also don't fully understand puffy gilets / body warmers. I know why people who ride horses or who do work outside and need their arms free might wear them but I don't really get it otherwise. If it's so cold you need a big puffy coat on, don't you need sleeves too? They are sometimes paired with sunglasses worn on the head even in grey weather... Don't understand. Are we going skiing? I live in the south east of England btw - no chance of skiing!

I like the hush look, the androgynous look, the first look emmawoodhouse mentioned, the off duty model look- but they all work so much better if thin, and not too short!

Anyone like any looks like that that look good on the shortish and sturdy?

There are looks I don't like on me, but I like them on other people, so not a lot I actually hate.

I have to like the country look since I live on a farm and have horses so I tend to wear it. Love the 50's look but I am too curvy to pull it off.

Not a fan of the make up shot gun look with unnatural looking eyebrows or clothes so tight you can see your undies.
