I need a full coverage foundation for very dry skin please help!

I have patches of psoriasis on my cheeks & in my eye brows. I also have these weird white spots all over which are like tiny cysts that are very hard to squeeze so need covering too.

I'm using Mac studio sculpt in nw30 but it's too dark. Any suggestions?

The red patches in photo are psoriasis and you can't see the white hard spots very well in other photo but they are very noticeable in rl.

Well my dermablend arrived this morning and I'm very pleased with it!

The new photos were took in the same place so same sort of lighting and I can't believe the difference!

I just moisturised with simple about 15mins before, no primer & finished with Mac prep&prime translucent powder.

It feels so much lighter & smoother than the Mac I was using. I could feel a slight tingle when wearing Mac but I don't feel a thing except confidence now. Plus a much better colour match.

Thank you all so much!

Yey another dermablend convert! Looks great, and shouldn't block your skin as much as normal foundations. bit of a warning though it can take a bit of getting off at night. I use a hot flannel rather than wipes as I think even gentle wipes irritate my skin.

You look amazing! I am going to have to invest in this stuff... Perhaps it will transform me into a goddess??? Or knowing my luck probably not. in all seriousness OP it looks like it is doing the trick. Don't have time to RTFT but where did you get it, Amazon???

OP, I've got very dry skin, and I've found that YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat works really well.

YSL are really good at samples, so they would be more than happy to give you a few days supply to see how you get on. I would use a really good primer too.

I think Bare Minerals is worth a try - but with their moisturiser and base serum.
Also, I know that psoriasis is complex and different for everybody, but I get patches if I've been drinking more alcohol than usual. It hits me as a surprise when looking in the mirror, I raise my arm and notice 6-8 red patches that weren't there a couple of days before. Then I realise I've had a boozy December or drank more than usual last weekend.... During the months when my diet is particularly clean and low in alcohol I have very few patches, if any.

It really is great, was very shocked that it didn't run in this awful weather we have today. My eyes stream in the wind & rain but no steaks!

Yep I got it from Amazon.

I will give ysl teint touché eclat a go too.

I don't really drink very often maybe once a month so not really noticed a reaction. Mines very much stress & feeling run down related. (Having depression & ocd thoughts don't help)

I use blue lid rimmel primer at the mo do you have any suggestions of better ones?

I also brought crest tooth whitener for 99$ a sachet what was recommended on mrsgloss&gloss fb page, can't wait for those to arrive.

I think I may have turne back into a beauty junkie!

Tom Yum is just a thai spice blend - trad used to make soup but can be added to lots of things as flavouring. i think thai food was quite trendy in late 90s so was prob more of it about then.

higge totally agree re sls! I conditioner-only wash (google no-poo method) with tresemme silicone-free conditioner (naturals, or salon un-done) and use plain soap. no face washes etc.

Dermablend looks great! Also recommend using fish oil capsules if you can't bear oily fish. can make a big difference. But you look great!

Look what's happened after 3 days of wearing vinchy, don't think I'm ever going to be able to wear make up daily.

At least it doesn't irritate when I'm actually wearing it so I'm back to as needed basis.

Off to doctor today so hoping for a referral.

Oh what a shame. Good luck at the Drs! Flowers

Penguin2016 · 29/01/2016 18:11

Oh no! Poor you. Do you think it is definitely the make up that has caused it? I have had an outbreak of seriously dry skin and horrible looking red patches... I blame the heating and the inconsistencies in the temperatures.... It's painful though. Digging out the steroid cream...

I love Smash Box primers, they offer lots of different versions including a colour corecting one (it's green). They have trial size versions available to test if it's for you. Maybe combing that and a good quality foundation like YSL touché éclat (they offer one week samples) could work.
