Can any moisturiser be as good as clinique but cheaper? (Sorry done to death!)

Sorry I know this has been done a million times but I'm after specific recommendations for little ol' me! Im early 30s, baby face so not concerned with wrinkles, very dry skin which peels in winter if I don't treat it right!

Moisturisers I like are clinique turnaround daytime
Clinique moisture surge for nighttime
Benefit triple performing moisturing emulsion
Ysl top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow

I don't like anything tooo heavy during the day but it needs to be ultra moisturising. I like the satiny feel of the ones above :)

So, is there anyone out there who knows of a cut price version? (See my other thread - I'm horrified by my beauty spend!!!) Any luxury brand addicts managed to break the habit?

Which one do you use? Do you have dry skin? Thanks :) hope they have it in stock soon!

Agree with several other posters, a good daily acid toner is far better than eg Turnaround moisturiser. I can see and feel a difference after 3 weeks use.

I can't see any difference between my Nivea Soft moisturiser and my expensive Bobbi Brown night moisturiser - will definitely replace the Nivea but not the BBrown.

OP, for blusher, try Sleek - fab colours and last really well. £5 for a single colour or £10 for a trio

I also love Clinique moisture surge, however, I have discovered and absolutely love clarins lotus oil. My skin has never looked better ESP when I apply it after nip and fab dragons blood cleaning pads which I use as my second cleanse / toner.

I do also really like loreal youth code night cream which has a gel like texture, although I am now just using my oil.

Well... I used Clinique and Estée Lauder for more than 15 years because my skin reacted to everything else.

I have been using Aldi's Renew Q10 Day Cream for the last 5 years and my skin is better than ever. My mother is the same, I am sending her the Aldi creams abroad, she reports that she doesn't need to use foundation anymore and she is over 70. But it may just be that Aldi's suits our skin as if it was made to measure Grin

£1.50 a jar, I think.

This is the Aldi one I use I have the day and night cream and the eye gel. I think this one is for mature skin (I'm mid 40s!)

Blushing and chumbler acid toners are not toners in the old sense but exfoliants to be applied after cleansing - have a read of the Paula's Choice website as a starting point.

I believe acids and serums can do most of the work, then the moisturiser sort of locks them all in. I guess it depends on your priorities for your skin. I don't know much about serums, I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable to come along Grin
