Per year? Per month? I have been through my statements and on average spending £180 a month, so around £2000 a year. Am I average in this? Dh is horrified!! Anyone else want to share their beauty £ stats!

Average monthly spend

Hair: £5 (I cut it myself and don't use a lot of products)
Clothing: £20 (charity shops whilst I'm losing weight)
Makeup: £0 (don't use any)

I have spent note on clothes the past six months than I usually do due to weight loss, and I'm planning on allocating more of my budget to clothes and makeup in the future. :)

*more, not note!

Higge I simply cannot imagine agreeing and discussing with my husband how much of my money I spend on myself. What independent woman can exist with so little trust and so much micro management of what is rightly hers. Once bills are paid here, no further questions need asking.

Beaufort - wind your neck in! You know nothing about me and dh and yet you judge us based on how you do sort out your money - you, you, you!

I do not earn cash. I sit down with my dh and WE discuss how WE are going to spend the cash HE has earned!
WE decide how much WE'D need to spend on OUR holidays, presents, bills etc and what's left over WE decide how much WE want to save and how much WE want to spend....WE both get an equal amount of personal spend. See the number of times I've used WE - because we are a partnership, we have open and honest dialogue and we respect each others needs.

If I wanted more money it wouldn't be a problem. We simply have an amount of money coming in and we are financially responsible enough to decide how we want to spend it before it's spent - it's called financial planning - ring a bell?
The trust issue does not exist for us - is it something you have a problem with?

I spend quite a lot on clothes, bags and shoes. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of US-based family visitors a year who always fill up an empty suitcase with my online purchases, so I get them all for a lot less than in the UK.

I spend about £200/mo on my hair - every 3rd week I have my roots touched up and every 6th I have highlights. This is non-negotiable.

I've been submitting to a bit of laser faffery on my face which is costly and seems to be quite effective.

I spend about £300/year on makeup, about the same again on perfume.

Dearie me Higge it rather seems that hit a sensitive nerve yet you felt able to be rather ruder to me on another thread.

I probably average about £80 per month. more in winter than summer, simply because there's more that I like, at that time of year.

Actually, forgot to tot up nightwear, underwear and preventing my hands and feet from looking too reptilian. Also bought a Lumea, last year. Make that more like £130 per month!
