Just that really. Lips are horrible and dry and I need a decent lip balm. Preferably one that I don't have to apply with my finger as I can't always guarantee that my hands are suitably clean (I work with lots of chemicals!) thanks Smile

Blistex, Burt's Bees, Body Shop Vit E.

Lucas Pawpaw or the EOS round balms.
Vaseline just makes them slimy and then really dry out and crack-I cant stand it.

Another palmers cocoa butter lip balm vote.

I have terribly dry lips as a result of acne treatment and palmers is the only one that soothes my lips

Another vote for Burts Bees in the yellow sticks. The mango one is my favourite, smells divine. Their tinted range is also good.

I'd forgotten about Elizabeth Arden 8 hour stuff in a tube. It's a bit greasy though and not ideal if you don't like/want to use your fingers to apply. But it also comes as a lipstick/balm, and they do tinted ones. I used them years ago and really liked them. I may have to investigate and perhaps get myself one again. The very pink one was lovely, not half as pink as it looked when applied, more sheet pink, quite natural.

Lansinoh.

I love Hurraw lip balms. I have the vanilla and coconut ones at the moment. They are made from plant oils and I find they soak in much better than petroleum based ones.

Not sure I f you can get them in the shops in the Uk. I'm in Europe and buy them online at naturissimo.com (free postage!)

Lipsyl - but only the blue natural one. Not the flavoured ones.

Lipsyl is the best by a loooooooong way.

Dry lips are often caused by a lack of vitamin B and not keeping your body hydrated. Lip salves cause dryer lips.

Take B supplements or have some Marmite on your toast - since I found that out over 30 years ago (!!!!!) I never have dry lips anymore

Here's some info

I find its mostly the cold weather and central heating Thru - I don't have problems in the summer.

Vit B deficiency causes quite distinctive cracks at the corner of the mouth- Angular Cheilitis.
