Best reasonably priced lip balm for very dry peeling lips

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a very good and reasonably priced lip balm for very dry and peeling lips?? I have vaseline in one of the little round tins (slides off), palmers cocoa butter lip butter, various nivea ones, and i havent found that any of them really help. Also, should i be scrubbing my lips or is that just making it worse? I do this morning and evening.

Blistex Relief Cream. Amazing stuff. Sorted mine out in 24 hours.

Blistex Med Plus - comes in a little blue pot and stings like a bugger when you first put it on but it really works. If you can't cope with the sting carmex original in the yellow tube with a red lid is a milder, less stingy version.

Oh, and no, don't scrub your lips. Whack a load of the cream on before bed and in the morning any dead skin will be kind of plumped up, and you can then sort of buff if off with your finger or a tissue.

Vicks vapour rub is amazing

I've just bought this Burt's Bees one and in just 3 days it has transformed my dry hard lips.

I find that lots of lip balms just sit on the surface of your lips and don't actually do anything. This stuff penetrates and moisturises like nothing I've used before.

Lansinoh nipple cream, honestly its amazing. Blistex also very good.

If you can invest in a pot of Nuxe Reve de Miel I definitely recommend it. I suffered from chapped lips (not any more!) and regular coldsores but now a twice-daily application keeps coldsores at bay and helps the healing process when they do appear. My pot is nearly two years old, and a little goes a long way.

Agree career or blister, either the cream or the blue pot.

The old fashioned blue Niven cream works well too.

Doesn't Vicks sting? Sorts out my athletes foot lovely, not sure I want it on my lips!

Honestly 1 application before bed and you will wake up with lovely smooth soft lips, it's fab stuff.

Op do you have any in house, if so try it tonight before bed. And report back , I bet like me you then won't use anything else :-)

Carmex. Liberally and frequently.
Don't puck at your lups, and try not to lick them too often.
I also found mixing up the lip balm helped. So one in your bag, different one in your coat pocket, something pdifferent in your desk drawer, bedside table and hall table, if you have that many half used pits around.

I have the Nuxe one (only faff is with it being in a pot, I don't want to get it under my nails so I use a brush)
It lasts ages, yes.

Lush sugar lip scrub is nice too ( I use in the shower)

I also got the Calmex and blistex mediplus ones today for my bag and desk.

I'm surprised at all the recommendations for Carmex and Blistex as they contain camphor, which can be really irritating to lips - hence the tingling!
