Please help me track down the perfect foundation I borrowed from a stranger

Hello ladies. Please can you help me track down the perfect foundation I borrowed from a stranger ( who I will always think of as an angel)

It was a true s&b emergency. I was at a spa en route to a funeral and when I opened my make up bag everything was there except my foundation. The lovely lady getting ready next to me let me have a squirt of hers, and it gave the best finish I have ever had, but I didn't note the brand. Can anyone help me please?

It was pump action liquid foundation in a cylindrical bottle and it was one where the internal base rose up the bottle as the product was used. The bottle was white semi transparent and the pump was white. The branding was very subtle, either in white or silver.

The coverage was awesome, I have quite high colouring, and it was luminous but also a bit matte and stayed perfect all day, despite a number of tears.

Has anyone any idea what brand it could be?

Thanks Katy

Is it this? Semi transparent bottle, white pump, base moves up as you go, good coverage?

Another poster raved about charlotte Tilbury so might be worth checking out. Pump was white though.
Walking. Thanks but too much branding on bottle

Not what you were given or very cheap but Chantecaille Just Skin and her other foundations are amazing. Whenever I wear mine I get told how lovely my skin looks. Totally flawless (it's not) like my skin but much much better. Space NK will let you have a sample if there's a shop near you.

Stila?

Rockchick1984 · 11/10/2015 19:25

Is it possible that it's the Benefit Hello Flawless mentioned initially, but as there was not a lot left in the tube then some of the pink writing had worn off?

Rockchick may have cracked this one! Or at least figured out why we haven't found it.
Whilst I'm not 100% sure it's that one, I think that explains what has happened. I'll try and look through them all again and imagine what they would look like with the writing mostly rubbed off.
From her clothes, accent, age, clothes I would have guessed her to be using a good mid range product, not something very nichy or very high end (ie la prairie).
From the way it was put in her bag it did look like it was carried around a lot so much of the branding could have worn off. I don't tend to take foundation when I go swimming or to the gym so this didn't occur to me.

I've been thinking I've been going mad but as least we have an explanation.

I shall review with this in mind. It was definitely pump action with the base rising up, and the liz earle was nearest in memory to the right shape. I think it was a plastic, not glass, bottle and the branding shout wear off if it's carried around a lot.
Medium coverage, good staying powder, doesn't cake or sink into large pores, very slightly glowey but not shiney. Suits dry skin with a rich moisturiser on it. The foundation of dreams for a forty something with high colouring.

An amazing foundation (well, I can't speak for now as it's reformulated and, being hyper sensitive with rosacea and dehydration, I'm scared to try it) is Chantecaille Future Skin. It is expensive but right now Space NK has a promo of spend £60 and get £15 off so if you google image swatches (or, better still, get into a store to try it) you might be able to take advantage of the offer (not sure when it ends, may be 14th Oct).

Just thought it could be this...:

Clarins True Radiance is in a similar sounding bottle.

GoneGirlGone · 12/10/2015 13:18

Could it be No 7 Protect and Perfect foundation?

WaggleBee · 12/10/2015 16:03

That Chantecaille one looks amazing Shmoo thanks for mentioning it. Wondering if I could get a sample to try first but off the reviews alone I'm tempted to just get it.

OverScentedFanjo · 12/10/2015 16:07

No 7

One for oily skin. It's a matte one.

Plastic bottle, base rises. Pump action, slim bottle.

I have dry skin and high colouring and it's a fab foundation.

OverScentedFanjo · 12/10/2015 16:08

Oh no. Re read op. No 7 have black pumps.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 12/10/2015 17:58

Clarins True Radiance is a square bottle. And a bit meh (at least on me)
