with a silk vest to hide the 'naked' tummy bits and brightened up with a shrug and some gold shoes?

I hate wearing dresses....

Could you carry this off? It's quite busy.

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 22:42

Or this, you can view a 'catwalk' video. It walks well.

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 22:44

This is lovely! But only just covers the elbows.

BendyBusBuggy · 26/09/2015 22:44

Does this show too much skin on the arms?

Snoop - I like it - mainly because it covers arms and legs! But too busy. I will be very close to the bride at most times during wedding ( although I am not maid of honour or anything) and at top table. Will also be with bridesmaids ( my daughters!) so will be 'visible' and want to look, appropriate, stylish, not too garish and not a frump - the holy grail?!

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 22:49

I like this and if you watch the catwalk it doesn't show the knees much.

BendyBusBuggy · 26/09/2015 22:50

Ah, posted wrong link

www.theoutnet.com/en-GB/product/Halston-Heritage/Crepe-jumpsuit/648897

Not sure what size you are but they have this in other sizes too

nothinglooksgood · 26/09/2015 22:51

Bendy - I like that! But not in my size unfortunately ( 12)

Snoop - I like the reddy orange dress but the back opening a bit too sexy ( although wouldn't be sexy on me)

Chipped - yes there may well be some self esteem issues but they have arisen from very real physical/appearance issues. Normally I can emphasise the good and downplay the not so good - but weddings seem to require a strange 'uniform' that wants to out my worst bits!!

BendyBusBuggy · 26/09/2015 22:55

Not sure which one you mean, but the second one I posted is available in size 12 :

Or you could channel your inner hollywood star...

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 22:59

this is not 'sexy'.

BendyBusBuggy · 26/09/2015 22:59

Or this to show arms, but not skin

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 23:04

this? Am I drowning you in links OP?

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 23:09

I HAVE FOUND IT - this is perfect OP!

nothinglooksgood · 26/09/2015 23:10

Thanks Snoop - last one a bit too 'eveningy' I think. Would like a little less sparkle.

Bendy - haha -I do like the OUtnet. I ordered and tried on the Halston dress but it wasn't right ( can't remember what was wrong with it now), but I had been very hopeful about it.

I like the Maria Grachvogel dress if it didn'have that puddle train affair going on! Actually the first jumpsuit I posted was from same person www.theoutnet.com/en-GB/product/Maria-Grachvogel/Dalit-satin-crepe-jumpsuit/669030

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 23:12

The biba one... Not too sparkly, not too sexy, not black, pretty, covers arms, elbows and legs.

nothinglooksgood · 26/09/2015 23:15

I might order that last one Snoop to see what it's like on - poss a bit too 'lacy'( I am fussy aren't I, sorry!)

Bendy - I've ordered one of your links too to try.

Man, I better remember to send all this stuff back or I'll be bankrupt!

Bless you for spending so much time looking - I really appreciate it :-)

Jumpsuit looks ok but wear with a blazer, you can get some lovely colours ones to 'brighten it'

If you're wearing a black jumpsuit then a nude coloured fitted blazer would be lovely or even something like a coral (not red or white though!)

Chippednailvarnish · 26/09/2015 23:21

Love the biba one!!

Snoopadoop · 26/09/2015 23:21

:)
I have to stop now. My bed beckons. Good luck op. Keep us posted!

Chippednailvarnish · 26/09/2015 23:35

You seem good at this Snoop can you find me some trousers that fit me...

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 26/09/2015 23:58

The Biba one doesn't look 'eveningy' to me; well, it would be lovely in the evening, but elegant and dressy for the day (which is what wedding clothes should be, shouldn't they?)

BendyBusBuggy · 27/09/2015 00:03

Ok, different shop :)

Love this one, but poss too much leg on show?
